Hi there, today I'm excited to share a trip with you, a tool designed to help you understand your users and improve their experience with your application. In this video, I'll guide you through setting up a project in Trip, recording a task, defining features, and exploring user journeys. Let's get started. We've already set up a project in Trip for this demo. The project name is Tripp Web App and it is configured to receive data from our web applications URL. Installing the Trip Analytics pixel requires a few simple steps. First, you'll need to insert the tracking pixel into your HTML file before the end of the head tag and update your Content Security policy settings to allow Trip to securely collect data. These steps may require assistance from your software developers. Once the pixel is installed, data will start flowing into Trip. Now let's move on to recording a test to see how Trip tracks user interactions. Now that the project is set up, let's record a task. Tasks are what users want to accomplish in your app. For example, if we're tracking a user signup process, we'll want to see every interaction along the way. To do this, let's use Trips Task Recorder. Paste the URL of your application where the task you're recording begins. We'll click Start Recording and go through a series of actions we expect users to take. For our demo, we will record the viewing of a test session in Trips dashboard. Once finished, stop recording, give the task a name and save it. This will now be available to track what real users interact with the RAP. Next, list the finer feature. A feature in Trip is essentially a key functionality within your app, like a signup process, checkout flow, or any other important action users might take. Navigate to the Features section and click New Feature. Here we can Group One or more tasks into a single feature. For example, we can create a user onboarding feature which includes tasks like Create Account and Update Profile. Defining features allows you to understand how well a specific parts of our application are performing by grouping tests into a full user journey. Now comes the Rillian cycle part. Viewing the user journey. Let's open one of the recorded user sessions with Trip. You can view metrics such as the average sum on task, the number of tasks starts, the number of tasks completed, the task completion rate, the number of events recorded, and the error rate for each task. Trip not only logs when a user starts or completes a task, but also everything that happens in between. As you can see here, we can follow all the user interactions, including the extra clicks, errors or the tours users take during the signup process. This helps us understand if users are getting confused at any particular step or if they are taking unnecessary actions.
