Chief of Staff | Operations | Head of People Management | Program & Delivery Manager | Project Lead | Mentor at Women in Tech

Almost two months ago, on July 6th, I had the chance to spontaneously join a brainstorming session organized by Alena Melchanka for the Women in Tech community. I had a gut feeling that I needed to be there, though I wasn’t sure why 😉 The agenda was to explore how we could create a group mentoring program, as the demand among women seeking guidance was, and still is, incredibly high. During the meeting, we shared our stories and experiences - it was so inspiring that I immediately wanted to contribute, though I wasn’t sure what that might look like. That’s when Katia L. stepped in, offering to help build the program, and Tamara Karavaya expressed her interest in participating. Just like that, we had a team! Wooooow 🤩 Over the next month, we brainstormed various topics and finally landed on “Your IT Career Abroad,” which later evolved into “Personal Growth and Development.” Katia spearheaded the program development, and we dove into the operational tasks. It was true Agile in action - I’ve never worked with such a professional, motivated team! Just imagine - in one month, we: ▶ Selected the topic: analyzing and building a realistic career plan for women in emigration ▶ Developed a 6-session online program ▶ Created a workbook with reflective exercises and assignments ▶ Launched a campaign and gathered participants ▶ Held our first session on August 10th! Initially, we planned to start with just 6 participants, but when we received 36 amazing applications, we decided to invite 19 of the most motivated women. It was a tough decision, and we used a combined approach to minimize bias and maintain a high-energy dynamic in the group. It was an incredible experience! To the amazing ladies who joined us on this journey, thank you for making it so special! Your active involvement and participation make me feel like Katia, Toma, and I did everything right (though there’s always room for improvement). P.S. Here’s a snapshot from our last session! ❤️ #WomenInTech #Mentorship #PersonalGrowth #Community
