Dear all, next week we'll do a webinar on pilot transfer arrangements in cooperation with HELMEPA, Nautical Institute and PTRHolland. This webinar is especially created for ship crews, but also for people with a general interest in pilot ladders this will be a fruitfull event (after all, who isn't interested in pilot ladders????). Should you wish to be present at this webinar, please contact HELMEPA for further information and don't wait to long: the number of attendants is limited! Have a good weekend! p.s. Another astonishing WEEKLY LADDER MISERY will be posted at the end of this weekend (couple of days and a couple of more ships to go...) Great picture of a pilot on a ladder with a parachute on his back 🙄
Arie Palmers I see a lot of your posts and comments about gangways and pilot ladders and I fully understand your concern as you are the one using it daily. What I want to propose to you: -your pilot office must arrange through agent to ask vessel certificate of all embarkation equipment well prior arrival - your pilot office must arrange through agent to ask vessel photos of all embarkation equipment well prior arrival ( fresh photos showing date of photo) -your pilot office must arrange through agent to ask vessel photos of pilot ladder or combination ladder when prepared for pilot boarding well prior arrival for training purposes of crew( fresh photos showing date of photo and showing small details how it's secured). This should become standard practice all around the world.. But nooo.. they are still asking for symptoms of covid-19..
Exciting
Very exciting
Arie Palmers happy to see how David it's in the picture!
