Day 2 Recap: Empowering Our Research Assistants for Field Success Just wrapped up Day 2 of our Research Assistant Training! Today’s session continued with more ethical training this time focused on handling open-ended questions and non-response while on the field. Participants were taught how to properly and respectfully navigate non-response, emotional respondents or long-winded answers. The training also covered effective strategies for administering questionnaires using cue cards. Another break-out session today included some Self Employed Women representatives. The participants practised administering the questionnaires to the Self Employed Women and collected data as they would on the field. This interactive session was invaluable as it provided the Core Team with the opportunity to make necessary adjustments to our fieldwork plans. Our trainees are now more equipped to handle field assignments! Today’s session was an inspiring time of learning, collaboration and the continued theme of co-production on the ARISE&WIN study. We are looking forward to having our trainees out on the field putting their newly found knowledge to practice!
