Building world-class hospitals using a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, similar to highways, could have several potential benefits: Improved Healthcare Infrastructure: It could lead to the development of high-quality healthcare facilities with modern technology and infrastructure. Private Sector Efficiency: The involvement of private entities in the BOT model could introduce efficiencies and innovations that might be less prevalent in purely public-run facilities. Reduced Public Expenditure: By leveraging private investment, the financial burden on the public sector can be minimized, freeing up government resources for other critical areas. Enhanced Service Quality: Competition and performance incentives under the BOT model could lead to better service delivery and patient care. Sustainability: The model could ensure that hospitals are maintained and operated efficiently over time, with the private sector responsible for upkeep until the transfer back to the public sector.
