We recently had the opportunity to chat with Dr. Kanstantsin Siniuk, PhD, from the Leibniz Institute on Aging - Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI) in Germany, about his collaboration with Cytosurge on a pivotal project. Dr. Siniuk needed a precisely edited U2OS cell line, and he turned to our #CellEDIT Service to achieve his research goals. 🧬🤩 In our full Q&A, Dr. Siniuk shares his experience with the CellEDIT Service, detailing how it played a crucial role in finalizing his project and submitting his paper for review. He discusses the specific genetic modifications made to the #U2OS cell line, the efficiency and precision of the editing process, and the smooth, productive collaboration that ensured the success of his research 👉 https://lnkd.in/gUksDBqN 💥 Configure your U2OS cell line and take advantage of our summer sale 🎁🎉 (until the end of September) 👉 https://lnkd.in/g3XBu5x9 #CellEngineering #GeneEditing #singlecell #Research #CRISPR #Innovation #team #connection #FluidFM #CellBiology #CellEngineering #GeneEditing #Biotech #ResearchInnovation #Scientist #ScienceAsAService #Sales #Discount

While great to be here at the 74th annual meeting of the American Crystallographic Association (ACA) in Denver, it is with pride and humility to realize that of the 74 years of the existence of the ACA meetings, our expertise, experience and presentations have gone into about 30% (25 years) of that time: (1) 10 years of delivering protein X-ray crystallography-driven drug discovery in our ABS-Services and ABS-OneStep platforms and services (www.accelerobio.com) to drug discovery and biopharma/biotech companies, and which is built on (2) 15 years of building and deploying high-throughput structural biology and structural genomics at the JCSG (Joint Center for Structural Genomics) & BSGC (Berkeley Structural Genomics Center). It is noteworthy that our work in structural genomics on “Exploration of Uncharted Regions of the Protein Universe” led to being the “largest contributor of novel structural leverage”, which led to ~1500 novel experimentally-determined protein crystal structures from JCSG deposited in the Protein Data Bank (PDB), and ~300 publications, which ultimately contributed to recent new advances in protein structure prediction methods (as well as earlier methods) involving ML/AI (AlphaFold, etc). This is captured in a new slide made today as part of our oral presentation at the ACA conference tomorrow. #structuralbiology #drugdiscovery

Did you know, in 2010, scientists at the J. Craig Venter Institute created the first synthetic bacterial cell, named Mycoplasma mycoides JCVI-syn1.0. This organism's entire genetic material was synthesized from chemicals, marking the first instance of creating "life" wholly controlled by man-made genetic instructions. This breakthrough not only advanced our understanding of the fundamental principles of life but also sparked a profound ethical and philosophical debate about the nature and future of synthetic biology. The creation of this synthetic cell is a prime example of the innovation that defines global laboratories. This milestone not only expanded our knowledge of life’s blueprint but also illustrated the broader scope of laboratory impacts—from groundbreaking research to vital diagnostics. On World Lab Day, we celebrate not just these innovations but also the everyday contributions of diagnostic laboratories. These facilities are essential for the timely diagnosis and management of diseases, enabling healthcare providers to deliver precise treatments based on early detection. Biorus is committed to supporting these efforts by providing top-quality solutions that enhance laboratory research and diagnostics, ensuring accurate and timely results for better patient care. #worldlabday2024 #WLD24 #diagnostics #innovation #facttuesday #factasticbybiorus #biorus
