The team continues to grow, and today we are thrilled to introduce Shriram Shrungarkar, our new working student! He brings a fresh perspective and a strong eagerness to learn, which will undoubtedly contribute to our ongoing projects and innovation. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐑𝐂? I have recently joined #ERC as a Working Student within the Aircraft Conceptual Design team, working closely with my supervisor, Artur Usbek. My primary responsibilities include developing supporting software tools for the aircraft design optimization loop. In addition, I am implementing handbook methods to complement some of the existing complex models required to size the aircraft. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 / 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐫𝐞/ 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦)? Entering the #aerospace industry for the first time during my studies has been an exciting experience. The challenge lies in getting accustomed to company practices while delivering with precision in a fast-paced start-up. Moreover, conceptual design is the starting point of any new aircraft project, requiring a solid understanding and feel for the aircraft as a whole. To tackle these challenges, it is crucial to seek support and positively embrace all feedback and new insights from my experienced colleagues. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐑𝐂? Currently, I’m pursuing a bachelor’s degree in aerospace at the Technical University of Munich. At university, I have been actively involved in #eVTOL student clubs, taking advanced courses, and participating in hackathons. My passion for #aviation extends beyond university studies, and I take every opportunity—from internships to hobbies—to constantly expand my horizons in the aerospace domain. My Internship Experience at Continental: Navigating the Future of Mobility 🌟   I'm thrilled to take you through my internship experience at Continental, where I've been immersing myself in an incredible learning journey for the past months. Completed an internship with Plasmid in the domain of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles✨

🤝Collaboration with international students🤝   We're excited to embark on this journey of partnership with students and educational institutions. Intercable Automotive Solutions collaborated with three students from Berufskolleg Tecklenburger Land (Germany). David, Joshua and Simon worked on a project together with the Advanced Quality Engineering (AQE) department - within the Laboratory they designed and created a Slow-Motion-Bending Machine for lifetime testing of cables lug connections. The compulsory internship is coming, and I have selected Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam as the first place in my career. Honestly, the position I applied for is not directly related to my experience. While I have a background in AI/Machine Learning. However, I took the position titled "Automotive Testing Framework Developer Intern". There are several reasons for this decision: 1. Bosch holds a special place in my heart. I had the chance to participate in Coderace 2023 and was fortunate enough to win first place. The one-week talent exchange that followed was a transformative experience. I was deeply impressed by the company’s working environment and culture. 2. The recruitment process was incredibly efficient. I received several offers and interview invitations, but Bosch stood out by being the fastest (just 2 hours after interview with managers). Their prompt response made me feel valued and played a significant role in my decision. (although I was just an intern LOL 😅 ) 3. I believe my work will have a meaningful impact. In my role, I will be working on the Airbag ECU system. This is not just a technical challenge but a crucial responsibility. It's a reminder that technology isn't just about innovation; it's about making a tangible difference in the world.

Today marks the culmination of my enriching internship journey at BMW Group, where I've dedicated the past 6 months to contributing to the complete vehicle digital department. Immersed in this dynamic environment, I've delved deep into the integration of cutting-edge technologies like GenAI, LLMs, and Multimodal Data into industrial applications, a concept that has reshaped my understanding of the intersection between academia and industry.
