"Refugees are a burden on economies", very popular claim of populist rhetoric, often leading to societal tension and aggression towards displaced people. As latest data of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic shows, today Ukrainian refugees are bringing more to Czech economy, than taking from it. Expenditures for the support of refugees have been significantly reduced since the middle of last year, while contributions to the state budget continue to grow. Ukrainian refugees are helping to address the country's long-standing labor shortage without displacing locals: 4 out of 5 Ukrainians found employment in unqualified sector. It's crucial to share such information responsibly to combat populist myths and prevent the spread of hatred and aggression. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved. *FORGET WHAT YOU KNOW* If you want God to use you mightily, you must be ready to forget what you know. It is not because what you know is necessarily wrong but because it can become a hindrance to your next level of growth and elevation by God. I know people who tasted the waters of revival years ago but have never moved on since. They built monuments around their spiritual experiences and now, decades later, cannot allow God to show them anything new. The new to them is cultic. How can God pour something new into you when you are stuck in the past? How can He trust you with deeper insights into His Person when you think that the same way He appeared to you in 1980 is the same way He must manifest Himself to you in 2024? Old mindsets must give way to new mindsets if God must work as He should. He wants to pour new wine, a new wave of the Spirit. Of what wineskin are you, old or new? *FURTHER STUDY:* Isaiah 43:19; Philippians 3:13 *GOLDEN NUGGET:* If you want God to use you mightily, you must be ready to forget what you know. *PHANEROO~DEVOTION* Wednesday, 26th June 2024 Apostle Grace Lubega *Matthew 7:16-17 (KJV):* Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. *OUR FRUIT* Oftentimes, when we read or hear this scripture, it is in terms of morals and Christian conduct. While good moral behavior is important, it is not the only fruit by which Christ's own are known. In fact, when it comes to morals, even an atheist or nonbeliever can be morally upright. That does not mean they are a part of Christ's fold. When a child of God demonstrates the Spirit through the performance of miracles, that too is fruit! When you see a Christian minister grow in his ministry and win thousands of souls into the Kingdom, that too is fruit! When Christians grow in influence over the systems of this world, that too is fruit. We should not narrowly interpret our theme scripture by using only good character or the lack of it to judge saints. God's definition of fruit is much broader than you think.
