Day 10 of the UX Thrive challenge. Today, I tackled the design of an Analytics Admin Dashboard that provides key insights into user metrics, activity overview, in-depth analysis, and total revenue stats. My goal was to create a clear, intuitive layout that gives admins actionable data at a glance while offering detailed drill-down options for deeper insights. This challenge pushed me to think about how data can be presented in a way that’s both informative and user-friendly. What do you think about this design? And i would love to get some feedbacks to improve more in this journey. #UXDesign #UIDesign #AnalyticsDashboard #UserExperience #DesignChallenge #ProductDesign

In celebration of #NationalPiDay, we are slicing up data viz by sharing tips on why many UX practitioners avoid using pie charts. • Pie charts are less effective for comparing #data. It is challenging for users to accurately compare sizes, angles, and proportions of different segments, especially when there are many segments or they are similar in size. • Pie charts require more space to display the same amount of information compared to other charts. This can be problematic for space-constrained situations like mobile interfaces or dashboards. • For folks who are #neurodivergent or have visual impairments, there may be difficulties distinguishing between different segment colors; excluding certain users from engaging with the data. Pie charts can be visually appealing but they can be less effective when conveying data. You can always opt for alternative visualization techniques that have better #usability and user comprehension: like the trusty bar.

🚀 Understanding Insights at a Glance with Heat Maps! 🔥 In today’s data-driven world, it’s crucial to visualize data in ways that provide immediate, actionable insights. That’s why heat maps are such a powerful tool! They turn raw data into easily digestible visuals, revealing trends, patterns, and outliers at a glance. 🌐 Here are some of the benefits of heat maps: ✅ Pattern Recognition: Easily spot areas of interest, from high traffic on a website to demand spikes in a supply chain. ✅ Improved Decision-Making: With data visualized clearly, decision-making becomes faster and more data-backed. ✅ Enhanced User Experience: For UX designers, heat maps highlight where users are engaging the most, enabling better design decisions. Whether you’re analyzing customer behavior, monitoring system performance, or enhancing UX, heat maps are essential for transforming complex data into visual insights. 📊 🔍 Curious about how heat maps could help your business? Let’s chat in the comments or message me directly! #DataVisualization #HeatMaps #Analytics #BusinessIntelligence #DataDriven #DataScience

How do we prevent Analysis Paralysis in the Plausible dashboard? Analysis paralysis happens when you enter your analytics dashboard without specific questions/objectives/structure/timeframe in mind, or when you don't understand how to make sense of the available data because of reasons like bad UX. This means that you can get easily overwhelmed with the endless data available, either not making sense of it at all or overthinking it too much. In both situations, no meaningful conclusions can be drawn. We reverse-engineered the Plausible dashboard to answer specific questions that a site owner usually has to reduce one problem from your life. 😀

Our design decisions shouldn't rely on guesswork. 🤷♂️ Instead, let data lead the way. 📊 Data in Product Design goes beyond just crunching numbers. It’s about: 🔍 Uncovering insights 👤 Understanding user behavior 🎯 Creating experiences to connect with your audience. So, how does it actually work? User Insights👥 Gather and analyze user interactions to understand pain points. Feedback Loops 🔄 Implement continuous improvements based on real-time data. A/B Testing 🧪 Experiment with different designs to identify what works best. Predictive Analytics 🔮 Anticipate future trends and user behavior to stay updated. For sure, designing without data is like sailing without a compass. 🧭 Data ensures your product is aligned with what users truly want. 🚀 Are you planning to utilize data for smarter product design? Let’s connect and make it happen! 💡 #ProductDesign #DesignMonks #DataDrivenDesign #UX #DesignStrategy #UserExperience #Innovation #ProductDevelopment #DataScience

In UX research, it's easy to drown in data and lose the narrative. It's crucial to step back and ask: What does this data actually mean and where are the opportunities? A quick example: “Our user testing data tells us that 4/8 users struggled to find the field for the coupon code in the checkout form” So what? “They couldn't apply the code we sent them for the Spring sale, so they dropped off.” This illustrates the consequence but what about the opportunity? “Making the coupon code field more obvious at checkout would increase the conversion rate for users with coupon codes by up to 100%” Data needs interpretation, expansion and storytelling to have meaningful impact. #UXResearch #DataStorytelling #UserExperience
