Tasmanian greyhound racing clubs are deeply integrated into the local community, actively supporting a wide array of grassroots organisations and initiatives. In Hobart, the Greyhound Racing Club has embraced local sporting clubs by hosting sporting clubs challenge nights that benefit a variety of clubs across sports ranging from AFL to netball, offering both direct sponsorships and opportunities to win additional funding. Similarly, the Launceston Club enriches the community with race days tailored for aged care residents, creating memorable social experiences. Moreover, a collective initiative across Tasmanian clubs culminated in a generous $35,220 donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charity, significantly enhancing the support facilities for families of children undergoing medical treatments in Hobart. These initiatives underline the greyhound racing industry’s dedication to nurturing and giving back to the communities they operate in, reinforcing their role as key players in building and sustaining local community spirit. Premiership Rugby has launched a tender process to find its first official charity partner for the 2025/26 season. This partnership offers a unique opportunity for a charity with national reach to collaborate with the top league of English rugby and its 10 member clubs across the Gallagher Premiership, the Premiership Rugby Cup, and the U18s Academy League. Good morning! Stepping outside of your personal routine and setting time aside to do something good for your local community is always a questionable return value for ourselves. We always wonder if donating our time is 'worth' it and then we are surprised when we learn that donating that time was worth it. Something good always happens and it never comes in a dollar amount. New Jersey United Athletic Club is working to serve the community by launching the Soccer Ball Support Fundraiser. This initiative is working to raise funds in order to purchase new soccer balls for underfunded youth soccer programs. They need all of us to help them spread the word about this initiative and to spread awareness to teams and youth clubs that need the assistance!
