UC San Diego undergraduate research students at the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute (HDSI), part of the School of Computing, Information, and Data Sciences (SCIDS), are leveraging data science to take charge against housing and food insecurity in San Diego County. Through the HDSI Undergraduate Research Scholarship Program, students develop actionable solutions to local issues: - Predicting shelter capacity to serve unsheltered individuals - Optimizing food bank locations to ensure food assistance best impacts underserved communities - Analyzing housing costs to inform policymaking In partnership with the Data Science Alliance and industry mentors, their work showcases the power of collaboration and innovation to benefit our communities. I am excited to share that I have completed the Post Graduate Program in Data Science and Business Analytics from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. Enrolling in the postgraduate program in Data Science and Business Analytics at the McCombs School of Business has been transformative. The rigorous curriculum, hands-on projects, and real-world applications have enhanced my understanding of advanced analytics, machine learning, and strategic decision-making. The collaborative environment and esteemed faculty have improved my problem-solving skills, equipping me with the tools to drive data-driven insights in any business setting. Ready to apply these skills to unravel complex real-world issues and make data-driven decisions.

I finally graduated from the MSc Degree in Data Science at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca with a final mark of 110/110 cum laude. I am extremely proud of the effort I have put in the last two years, which made this achievement possible, pushing through the difficulties and challenges I have faced on this path. My final thesis, which I have carried out at the TALN Laboratory of Universitat Pompeu Fabra focuses on stacking together multiple jailbreaking techniques to test the robustness of LLMs in the state of the art to adversarial attacks. I have analyzed the ability of the target models to generate content that is aligned with the safety and ethical guidelines provided.
