These tools are a promising step forward in ensuring that unresolved complaints for ten business days are addressed effectively after consumers contact their financial institutions, enhancing consumer protection. The digital finance laws of Ethiopia outline Principles to streamline Consumer protection for digital financial service providers (DFSP), including but not limited to: - Complaint Handling and redress mechanism: DFSP shall put in place policies and procedures as well as provide clear and easy-to-use processes regarding customer complaints handling and redress mechanism. - Transparency: DFSP must avail clear and standard terms and conditions applicable to all customers with their services.
