🌍 Safety as a Core Value to build with purpose 🌍 Every day on a construction site is an opportunity to protect, to lead, and to set a standard that others can trust. For me, safety is more than a priority, its a moral commitment. It’s about creating an environment where each person feels valued and safeguarded. We as safety professionals have to go home fee satisfied that there was nothing we could have done that we didn't to keep people safe. Being a real part of avoiding a worker's life to get worse after an accident is a great blessing from Allah that keeps me doing what I'm doing every single working day. When we prioritize safety, we’re investing in our people, our projects, and our industry’s future. A safe work environment fosters collaboration, boosts morale, and enhances productivity, building not only strong structures but also strong teams. My purpose is clear: to help create sites where safety is woven into the culture, not just as a protocol, but as a shared belief.

As we observe Construction Safety Week, it’s crucial to reflect on what safety truly means in our industry. At New Belle Construction, safety is the foundation upon which we build every project and every relationship. It's about ENCOURAGING a proactive safety culture, LISTENING to the insights and concerns of every team member, and EMPOWERING individuals to take ownership of their and their team's safety. We understand the profound impact that a culture rooted in safety can have not only on our projects but on the entire industry and beyond. This week, let's renew our commitment to making safety a priority in every decision we make. Because when we work together, prioritizing the well-being of every individual, we pave the way for not only safer job sites but also for a safer community and industry at large. Let’s make every week Safety Week. 🏗️🧡

𝖣𝖱𝖨𝖵𝖨𝖭𝖦 𝖯𝖤𝖱𝖲𝖮𝖭𝖠𝖫 𝖮𝖶𝖭𝖤𝖱𝖲𝖧𝖨𝖯 Today kicks off Construction Safety Week - an opportunity to emphasize the importance of safety across our industry, and the pride we have in shaping the communities in which we live, work and play. Personal responsibility is at the heart of our culture at Berg - 'Acting as an Owner' is a key piece of our mission and values as an organization. Every day, we walk onto our job sites with one goal in mind – get the job done safely. But even more than that, we feel an unwavering responsibility to one another, our families and friends to make sure we all return home safely. Weekly Safety Calls and daily morning huddles help to keep our team members informed and aligned across our sites. Our Safety Coordinator, Blair, makes her rounds to ensure our crews have the necessary resources to prioritize safety in their tasks. Every individual is empowered to give and receive safety-related feedback. Do we get it right every time? No, but do we make a continuous effort to learn from our mistakes and do better tomorrow? Yes - that's how we evolve, and learn what we can do to improve our safety and training practices. Effective, consistent, and respectful communication is a standard we strive to set from the top down, because at Berg, everyone is a leader when it comes to safety. #ConstructionSafetyWeek #SafetyFirst #PersonalResponsibility #SafetyTalks #Communication #ValueEveryVoice

When conducting vertical lifts with cranes and working at heights, it is crucial to prioritize overhead protection for the safety of workers and the public. A comprehensive safety plan should not only be developed by the safety team but also involve the entire project management team, including contractors. Maintaining an open mindset, fostering inclusivity, and promoting a team mentality are key factors in ensuring a successful project and promoting a culture of safety.

There’s a reason “people” comes first in our core values of People, Honor, and Grit. Our people are the most important aspect of what we do. Here’s what our Corporate Safety Director, Paul, has to say about safety, our values, and why we participate in Construction Safety Week: Living Incident and Injury Free is a core principle at Baker. This year’s National Safety Week theme and the call to “value every voice” resonates with our philosophy. Safety is a “people business.” To get the best results, our co-workers — from every level in the field and across the nation — need the opportunity to provide input and be involved in the evolution of our safety practices. Encouraging, listening, and empowering each other is the first vital step. We then provide the right tools and knowledge to be successful, helping everyone understand their risk tolerance and take responsibility for their safety. A good safety culture is where everyone is doing what is right because it is the right thing to do. To achieve this, we all must be accountable for the safety of ourselves and our co-workers. Baker Construction was one of the first construction companies to make safety their #1 goal, and I’m proud to recommit to this mindset each year. #TheBakerWay #ConstructionSafetyWeek #BeASafetyLeader #ValueEveryVoice Construction Safety Week
