  • Do you know someone looking for a rewarding, lifelong career? Consider construction! From the article: "According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of construction managers is projected to grow by 9% over the next decade, much faster than the average for all occupations. These professionals often earn a six-figure salary, with UNK graduates making an average of $70,000 in their first year on the job." BD Construction is built on the expertise of University of Nebraska at Kearney grads. That includes our most recent Construction Management hire, Kaden, shown in the middle of this photo. BD Construction is proud to support the UNK Construction Management Organization, and proud to have a staff filled with Loper alum!

  • BD helps rural communities explore ways to maximize resources and save money on new school construction. While remodeling and adding onto school facilities are often the first option, converting existing buildings into new schools can also be a budget saver. Australia has creatively repurposed existing spaces, creating modern, multi-story classrooms and facilities. This innovative approach used “Down Under” and on the plains of America not only reduces construction costs but also gives buildings a new purpose, preventing them from going to waste. https://lnkd.in/g7_X-QJm

  • This is a proud moment for BD Construction! We are thrilled to have played a part in contributing to a historic moment at the Trails and Rails Museum. Our team's hard work and expertise were crucial in laying the groundwork for the Sunflower School and seamlessly integrating it into the historical section of the museum. This project showcases our dedication to excellence in construction management and community enrichment.

  • Last week was a whirlwind of community spirit, friendly competition, and supporting great causes! + We saw friends both old and new at Nebraska Rural Health Conference - and handed out some BD Construction hard hats. + We teed off for a good cause at the Kearney Chamber Golf Classic. Some of us might be better at serving popcorn on the 11th tee box than putting, but hey, it was all for local businesses! + Tis the season for golf! We also sponsored the Hershey Public Schools golf tournament and the Breast Cancer Awareness golf tournament in Superior. + We served up delicious treats at the Relay for Life fundraiser, supporting the fight against cancer! Plus, our teammate Maria worked on the Relay planning committee as well as prepared and served the survivor meal. What a week! We love being part of a vibrant central Nebraska and giving back whenever we can. Who else had a busy, fun-filled week? P.S. Swipe through to see highlights from our adventures!

It's National Women in Construction Week! We are celebrating Lisa Amen with BD Construction in Kearney. Amen began her career with BD Construction as civil drafter, but her wide range of talents quickly revealed themselves and she became a valuable assistant to the project management team. Today, Lisa is a Project Manager overseeing the details and schedules for multiple, complex commercial construction projects in the manufacturing, commercial and education sectors. Her outstanding attention to detail and client and subcontractor communications skills make her an asset on any job site. Lisa started her career in construction doing Computer Aided Design with a degree from the Northwest Kansas Technical College. She has worked in Colorado and Nebraska and now calls Central Nebraska home with her husband, elementary-age son and two cocker spaniels. #agcnebuilders #wicweek24 #WomenInConstruction #construction #constructioncareers #students #Nebraska #womenintrades #students See insights and ads Boost post Like Comment Share
