AG&P Pratham recently organized an industrial meet to promote the adoption of Natural Gas among industries in Kolar district. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with 43 industries from Vemgal, Narsapura, Malur, and Tamaka participating, apart from renowned brands such as Mitsubishi, ITC, Apollo Tricoat, Fab Tools, Zeco Aircon, Modern Automotives and Biovet. The President and General Secretary of the Industrial Association emphasized the benefits of Natural Gas in reducing pollution and enhancing energy efficiency, advocating for its adoption and the role of AG&P Pratham. Esteemed speakers highlighted the advantages of Natural Gas, its alignment with government policies on environmental conservation and its importance in achieving sustainability. Additionally, the President of the Industrial Association, along with the Deputy Commissioner and Environmental Officer, discussed supportive government policies incentivizing the transition to cleaner energy sources and promoting sustainable development. The Retrofitment teams were present to assist industries in converting diesel gensets to Piped Natural Gas (PNG), facilitating a seamless transition to cleaner energy solutions. Information was provided on converting boilers to run on natural gas, highlighting potential cost savings, reduction in emissions and enhanced operational efficiency. In conclusion, the industrial meet was successful in attracting significant participation and fostering constructive dialogue on sustainable energy practices. The event raised awareness about the benefits of natural gas and garnered support for its widespread adoption among industries in Kolar district. Gasum has opened our newest LBG filling station in Liminka south of Oulu. This is our 19th LBG filling station in Finland and offers only liquified biogas for heavy duty vehicles. Location is perfect just in the road junction of Tupos. ⭐Customer in the Spotlight: Banpu NEXT Company Limited and Durapower have inaugurated the DP NEXT assembly plant at AMATA City Chonburi Industrial Estate, marking a milestone in Thailand's push for commercial electric vehicles (EVs) and clean energy. Ms. Janjira Yamyim, Managing Director of Amata Summit Ready Built Company, extended her congratulations to Mr. Smittipon Srethapramote, CEO of Banpu NEXT, on this achievement. 🔋The plant boasts an annual production capacity exceeding 15,000 battery packs, focusing on EV buses, trucks, and specialty vehicles. CFO of Alexela: The challenge is to identify which green technologies are worth investing in.🤔💡 While Alexela has previously primarily been seen as a chain of petrol stations, now the number of customers to other energy services has increased significantly, making Alexela a hybrid energy company, according to CFO Karmo Piikmann. "We are unique in the market with a variety of energy services, with more and more customers coming to us to have all their energy service needs covered in one place and to ultimately gain the most from their consumption of services. Our customers have become more loyal, and the nature of a hybrid energy company that Alexela represents is increasingly important for customers when choosing an energy partner," CFO of Alexela said. According to Piikmann, in addition to fuelling services, the introduction of the "Stressless" electricity package, which was the most preferred option for customers, helped to stabilize the volatility of the price of electricity, while allowing them to benefit from the more favourable hours on the power exchange. In the last five years, great emphasis has been placed on increasing trade volumes. "While we used to have mainly automatic service stations, we have now built convenience stores next to most of our stations, and Alexela’s Täkupoisi service station has been supplemented with a top chef's restaurant," he said. Last year's growth was supported by the fact that while the prices of gaseous fuels were high in 2022, they calmed down last year and many customers returned to gas. Ekiti Embraces Sustainable Energy Solutions On Friday, 4th October 2024, Ekiti State received 15 CNG buses as part of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (Pi-CNG). The cost of the buses will be recovered from the commercial use of long-haul transportation while the state works with the NURTW and RTEAN to eliminate the potential failings of the mass transit system in Ekiti State. Governor Biodun Oyebanji, through the State Commissioner for Infrastructure, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko, announced the government's commitment to converting more state vehicles to CNG to reduce transportation costs and promote cleaner energy. The event also marked the launch of 7 conversion centres across the state, where commercial vehicles will be converted to CNG for free.
