Romande Energie, SolydEra Group and Zwahlen & Mayr Sa team up for PRHYSM to raise the profile of green hydrogen in Switzerland PRHYSM will produce green hydrogen for use on the same industrial site, contributing to the national effort to reduce greenhouse gases. The production plant, located in the town of Aigle, is expected to be operational in 2025. This example of circularity in action is one way in which industry can lessen its burden on the environment

Thanks to KapitalWatch and Ole Andersen for highlighting our investment in Germany-based ecoLocked! 🌍 We are excited to announce this investment and support ecoLocked's mission to #decarbonize the construction industry with their #carbon-#negative #building #materials. 🏗 Concrete production contributes to 8% of global CO2 emissions, making innovations in this sector vital for achieving net-zero targets. ecoLocked is at the forefront of this change, converting carbon captured from biomass into functional, carbon-negative building materials. This funding will boost ecoLocked's efforts to turn buildings into carbon sinks, scale their biochar-based solutions, and enable 1Gt carbon removal by 2040. At Ence, sustainability and decarbonisation are more than words; they are our daily mission. 🌍✨ That is why we carry out our activity within a framework presided over by our commitment in favor of reducing our carbon footprint through the implementation of clean technologies, improving energy efficiency and promoting renewable energies. Maria Luz Sanchez Galan director of Ence's biofactory in Navia, talks about all this in an interview with El Comercio: “Sustainability is integrated into all our operations and strategic decisions. This includes the responsible management of natural resources, the reduction of our environmental footprint and the commitment to the social and economic well-being of the communities in which we operate.” We believe in a greener, more responsible future. 🌱💚 You can read the full interview at: https://lnkd.in/dpDc3dhX #Sustainability #Decarbonisation #CircularEconomy #Innovation #Ence.

Gjenkraft AS are thrilled to announce the signing of a framework agreement with Bergen Spesial Transport AS for the sustainable recycling of wind turbine blades. From now on, Bergen Spesial Transport AS will deliver all their wind blade waste for recycling at our facility. This significant milestone helps establish a value chain in Norway, Sweden, and Finland, securing blade feedstock for the next three years. Our ambitions lead us to scale our production in Høyanger, aiming for a capacity of 1000 tons per year by 2025 with new machinery. This will enable Bergen Spesial Transport AS to provide only sustainable solutions for wind blades, eliminating landfill and incineration options. We are excited to take this major step forward in our mission to create a green future. #Sustainability #WindTurbineRecycling #Innovation #Gjenkraft

🌍 Pushing the Boundaries of the #CircularEconomy At Ardian, we're committed to driving sustainable growth through strategic investments in the circular economy. Our acquisition of Attero in 2023, one of Europe’s most advanced waste management companies, marked a significant step in this direction. Attero’s innovative approach to waste management—from producing biomethane to recycling plastics—sets a new standard for sustainability. We plan to enhance Attero’s capabilities by implementing a carbon capture and storage (CCS) project at the Moerdijk waste-to-energy plant, making it one of the largest producers of carbon-neutral baseload energy in the Netherlands. This project is expected to begin construction in 2025 and become operational by 2029. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿! Exciting news from Nobian, one of our valued partners at Battery Competence Cluster - NL (BCC-NL). Nobian is leading the way in sustainability as the first major company in the Netherlands to finalize a tailored agreement with the government to reduce CO2 emissions. Their salt production sites in Delfzijl and Hengelo will transition entirely to electricity, supported by a €185 million subsidy. This shift will result in a remarkable annual CO2 reduction of 525 kilotons, saving 300 million cubic meters of gas—equivalent to the consumption of a city like The Hague. 📍 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗖𝗖-𝗡𝗟 While this specific agreement focuses on industrial electrification and hydrogen storage in salt caverns, stationary batteries play a vital role in complementary sustainability initiatives. For example, these efforts align with projects under the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱, targeting the same industrial sites to enhance energy storage and efficiency. Nobian's commitment sets an inspiring example, showing how industrial players can fast-track climate goals through innovation and collaboration. 🌱 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁: Nobian’s products—derived from salt—serve as essential inputs for industries producing fuel, batteries, plastics, and medicines. Let’s celebrate this milestone and continue fostering a greener, more sustainable industrial future together! Head of Development for Low-Carbon Energy ⚡, Water 💧 & Heat Networks ♨️ | Championing Sustainability 🌍 at Veolia
🌍 Exploring Sustainable Solutions in Poland 🇵🇱 This past week, I had the incredible opportunity to visit two of Veolia's Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plants in Poland – at 𝗠𝗹𝗲𝗸𝗼𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗠𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘇𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗸𝗮 and 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗞𝗼𝘇𝘂𝘀𝘇𝗸𝗶-𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹. These facilities are prime examples of how advanced technology can turn organic waste into renewable energy, helping companies reduce their environmental impact. The visit was part of an ongoing exploration with a prospective new customer in the UK, where we’re discussing the development of an AD plant at their site. This project, once realised, 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟴,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗖𝗢𝟮 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿, significantly contributing to their sustainability goals and the broader effort to combat climate change. It was inspiring to see firsthand how these AD plants operate and how they contribute to creating a 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 by transforming waste into resources. I’m incredibly excited about the future growth of 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 across Industry and Municipal Water in Northern Europe and the potential for further collaboration! Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to drive sustainable innovation! 🌱 #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #AnaerobicDigestion #CarbonReduction #CircularEconomy #Veolia #Innovation #WasteToEnergy
