There's been a piece of the puzzle missing for improving holistic development in schools. Character is shaped through action, practice and impact in the real world, but these actions are highly influenced by the unique contexts of each school and its students. To truly support students' holistic development, learning must be embedded through reflection. School leaders also need actionable data to measure progress and demonstrate the real impact of their initiatives.

The thing that I think sets BeWorldClass apart from other educational platforms that use AI, is that it's not about AI at all. There's been over 7 years of "World Class" organisations (World Class Schools, World Class Education Network and BeWorldClass) trying to solve this issue, far before all the AI hype. Adding AI finally allows us to fix the cycle for continuous holistic development without taking up teacher time.

Recognizing that students learn at different speeds is fundamental. Some require more time to master concepts fully. By allowing this flexibility, we empower every student to achieve success on their own timeline. Individualizing the pace of instruction means adapting to diverse learning needs. It involves assessing where each student stands, providing additional time and resources as needed, and fostering an environment where learning is not rushed but thorough and inclusive. As educators, we can create classrooms where every student feels supported and capable of reaching their full potential. #Education #PersonalizedLearning #StudentSuccess #InclusiveTeaching #EducationalEquity

Revolutionizing Education: How CRSSP Can Empower Teachers and Students Alike CRSSP, a powerful approach to education, can empower students to take ownership of their learning journey and develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. As inspiring speaker [Michele Freitag ] https://lnkd.in/dM-6rG7t emphasizes, by applying CRSSP, students can: (C - Choice): Enjoy meaningful choices in their learning (R - Relevance): See the relevance of learning to their lives (S - Strength-Based Learning): Focus on their strengths and talents - (S - Specific, Honest, and Positive Feedback): Receive specific, honest, and positive feedback With CRSSP, students can: Build confidence and self-esteem Thrive in a supportive and inclusive learning environment Develop a growth mindset and a love for learning Achieve their full potential Look forward to coming to school every day, excited to learn and grow CRSSP makes students love going to school by giving them a sense of autonomy, purpose, and belonging. It helps them see the value in their education and feel empowered to take charge of their learning. But CRSSP doesn't stop there. It can also empower teachers to break free from the constraints of traditional teaching and unleash their full potential. By applying CRSSP to their practice, teachers can: Choose topics that are relevant and meaningful to their students Make learning relevant and connected to real-life scenarios Focus on their strengths and teaching styles Receive specific, honest, and positive feedback from peers and mentors By embracing CRSSP, educational institutions can untie the hands of teachers, allowing them to: Teach out of the box and innovate in the classroom Develop engaging and effective lesson plans Build stronger relationships with their students l Reignite their passion for teaching Let's adopt CRSSP and empower both teachers and students to reach their full potential!

At the end of the day, all we have is the evidence we collect and if I have learned anything from reading Thomas Guskey, it is that "existing professional learning models rooted in diverse contexts that support a positive correlation between improvement in teaching practices and student learning is limited (Guskey, 2014). Personalizing professional development is a metacognitive activity - personalizing within the context of the individual needs of a learning community falls under metacognition awareness and management. Where we go from there depends on our willingness to embrace a **metacognitive constructivist** perspective toward learning - for both teachers and students, because we are all "learners". Personalization education is the key. Standards-based, competency-based, mastery-based teaching and learning (each and all of these) is a major bitting of that key. Socioemotional competency is another bitting. A developmental mindset toward their implementation is another bitting. Metacognition, however, is the key blade on which those biddings are designed to fit the door to a particular learning community. Read more about this perspective here -- https://lnkd.in/gFvmMp8z

Reevaluate the Balance: Are our classrooms striking the right balance between structured objectives and the freedom to explore? Is it possible that the traditional approach to lesson planning stifles creativity and innovation in the classroom? Dear #schoolleaders, Teaching without a clear plan or objective can be challenging and may not effectively support the learning goals of the students. While flexibility and adaptability are important qualities for educators, it's generally advisable to have a detailed idea of what you want to accomplish during a class session. Here are some quick pointers to use as a checklist to ensure impactful learning : Prioritize Student Success: At the baseline, ensure that our approach to education is centered on maximizing student learning outcomes and holistic development. Focus on Learning, Not Just Teaching: Shift the focus from delivering content to facilitating meaningful learning experiences that promote critical thinking and creativity. @progressive education #educators #change in education #teachers #principals

In this article from Associate Director of Professional Learning Becky Green, we offer three concrete strategies that equip students to exercise agency in the assessment process: "Equitable design for assessment is an opportunity to empower students to take agency for their own next steps in their learning....As educators, this means we approach assessment as something that happens every day and in a variety of ways. It means assessment is not just in the hands of the teacher; it is a transparent process, in partnership with students. Designing assessment to be student-centered requires a multi-faceted approach:" Learn more: https://bit.ly/4bsYVZH #Assessment #Education #EducationLeaders #AssessmentDesign #GOALearning
