This means every site is enhanced with improved biodiversity, benefiting both the local ecosystem and the community. Starting with a baseline biodiversity score from an independent ecologist, we ensure each project's score is increased by at least 10% through strategic planting and habitat creation. From native flora to wildlife habitats, we believe that golf courses can offer more than just a great game - they can also be thriving green spaces that benefit both people and nature. Today is World Nature Conservation Day, and it's all about raising awareness for protecting natural habitats and preserving biodiversity. Sustainability is in the core of our foundations. We're incredibly proud to team up with the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), an organisation doing groundbreaking work to conserve animals and their habitats worldwide. We’re committed to partnering with ZSL in enabling them to run conservation projects to protect endangered species and promote biodiversity. Here are just some of the great things the teams have done to support their amazing work: - We procure all our timber from FSC companies with chain of custodies provided for ZSL - We created mud shoes for the conservation team so they could do their work out in the estuaries and wetlands (we have done a post about this before tho as attached) - We have created transport crates for the partula snails to travel back to Polynesia – to date 15,000 of these have been reintroduced together with the international zoo community Beyond our work with ZSL, we’re committed to sustainability in all areas of our business: Reducing our carbon footprint with electric vehicles. Implementing energy-efficient solutions for us and our clients. Promoting sustainable sourcing and cutting down on waste. #NatureConservation | #Sustainability | #ConservationProjects | #FacilitiesManagement | #EcoPartnerships | #GreenInitiatives | #SustainableBusiness | #ESG

🌿 Forests are home to 80% of the Earth’s terrestrial biodiversity, yet deforestation claims 10 million hectares every year (Source: FAO). Protecting these ecosystems is critical—not only for the planet but for the communities and wildlife that rely on them. That’s why our Accommodation and Site Member, Cardamom Tented Camp, is taking meaningful action. Through innovative eco-tourism practices, it is safeguarding 18,000 hectares of forest in Cambodia’s Botum Sakor National Park. With revenue from initiatives like the Cardamom Mountains Steam Beer, it funds 16 forest rangers dedicated to protecting this vital ecosystems. Their work has led to a 90% reduction in illegal hunting, allowing endangered species like Asian elephants and otters to thrive. But it’s not just about conservation— Cardamom Tented Camp weaves sustainability into every aspect of its operations. The camp is solar-powered and the vast majority of employees are from the local communities. This is a prime example of how sustainable tourism can generate measurable environmental and community benefits. 🏖️🐦 Help us protect our beaches and shorebirds! Tidy beaches can be harmful to the Kentish plover, especially during the breeding period. This little shorebird feeds mainly on vegetation residues at the shoreline where it captures invertebrates such as marine worms, small molluscs and crustaceans, as well as beetles, diptera and other insects and spiders. 😢 Beaches that are regularly cleaned from their natural vegetation residues are poor in food resources and poor habitats for the species. 🌊🌿🐛 Support initiatives that promote sustainable beach cleaning practices to #SaveOurShorebirds and #ProtectOurBeaches. Let’s work together to preserve our #MarineEcosystems and ensure a healthy future for our planet. 🌏🌱 Association "Les Amis des Oiseaux" (#AAO) IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation Tour du Valat ISPRA BirdLife International UNEP/MAP-Barcelona Convention

🌍 Wednesday was International Environment day. An ideal time for us to share the details of one of the beautiful projects that we finance thanks to your purchases, managed by the Fondazione Capellino and the Deutscher Verband für Landschaftspflege e.V. (DVL) association. Our mission: to create an ecological corridor in Bavaria that will connect three protected areas along the Große Laber River, a tributary of the Danube. The objective is to create an integral reserve, through the renaturalisation and management of fresh water, in order to restore ponds and wetlands, essential to the life of many species of birds and microfauna. 🌿 The project's areas of intervention are not limited to the renaturalisation of the ecological corridor, but also to support and accompany the sustainable management of public lands and surrounding tourist activities. 🐶 🐱 This is only possible thanks to the support of all those who choose Almo Nature products for their pets. Every purchase helps support the projects of the Fondazione Capellino for the protection of biodiversity and the environment, such as that of Bavaria. 🔎 Find out more about this project at https://lnkd.in/eTD3TQy8 #almonature #fondazionecapellino #biodiversity #climatechange #profitstotheplanet #reintegrationeconomy #petfood #habitat #große #internationalenvironmentday
