Had a great time yesterday delivering a session at our Repairs Leadership team meeting! ⭐ It was a follow up from our last meeting where they shared what additional support they needed from the People team. My presentation was around - this is what you said, and this is what we're going to do to support you! I also gave the team a scenario to talk through based on a situation they might face as people managers. It was a great opportunity for everyone to share their knowledge and ideas on how to approach and resolve people issues. Getting feedback from our stakeholders is key to making sure we can continuously improve and provide the best service to our internal customers. Always learning, always evolving!💡

How's it feel to be on top nationally? Pretty dang good, actually, because it's going to create a more vibrant and successful community. ⭐️ Our fearless leader, founder Holly Leigh Davis, is currently chair of the Board of County Commissioners in Citrus County, Florida. She ran for office in 2020 because she was disturbed that the county had never had a strategic plan, 😱 something that is Job #1 for all Horsefly clients: "But first, what's the strategy?" The National Association of Counties, in their first year of recognizing excellence in county government strategy, chose three counties out of over 3,000 nationally to be recognized, and Citrus County's plan was one of those. 🙌🏻 While Horsefly had zero to do with this plan, we're celebrating because strategic planning is our love language, and this was our founder shepherding this nationally recognized plan. 😍 Want your own outrageous success? It was a great time trimming out the datacom rack live at the Vertical Cable booth during ISC West! Times like last week at ISC are outstanding reminders of how much more powerful and productive we are as an industry when we work together instead of against each other. Did I have to spend my time at ISC building out a rack and showing other integrators how they can do better? No - I could have walked the show floor as usual and seen a lot of cool stuff. Did I want to share knowledge and skills with other integrators? Heck yeah! Gate keeping “trade secrets” is ultimately nonproductive. Sharing knowledge and skills benefits everybody and moves the industry forward so that we all win! In true #communityovercompetition fashion, having the opportunity to meet so many fellow systems integrators and industry peers and share some tips and tricks on how they can take their installs to the next level is always a great experience. From quickly terminating keystone jacks, to labeling, to methods of perfectly dressing out patch panels, there was a LOT of productive conversation last week. For me, seeing people leave the booth with new knowledge that will change their game in a positive way is a win for the industry! Huge shoutout to VC for being such an integral partner in our day-to-day as a systems integrator and the industry as a whole.
