Tune in to FreightWaves What The Truck TODAY at 12 noon! Looking forward to this co-interview with my fellow AFOL (adult fan of Lego) Timothy Dooner - Doug Brunt's book re: the history of the diesel engine reminds those of us who rely on the diesel engine that the industrial revolution would have been very different without this disruptive innovation. Rudolf Diesel was, in many ways, the Elon Musk of his time. It's a total coincidence but also featured today is Colin Huwyler from Optimus Technologies, Inc., who provides a decarbonized solution to diesel, 99% Biodiesel (excited that Covenant will be testing this in the next 4 weeks). Although at Covenant my job is to look for more efficient / cleaner solutions to moving a 53 foot trailer over long distances, I can assure you diesel isn't going away anytime soon. #diesel #trucking #transportation
