International Potato Center (CIP) is excited to launch the 2024 Digital Sweetpotato Catalogue, showcasing 118 elite sweetpotato varieties from across the globe. This innovative online platform provides an up-to-date and comprehensive view of newly released breeding varieties, upcoming releases (advanced clones), and landraces. Many varieties are key in breeding programs aiming to enhance β-carotene levels, root dry matter, and resistance to sweetpotato virus disease globally. The catalogue features: 118 varieties (106 from Africa, 7 from Latin America, 3 from North America) Easy access to data via web and mobile platforms Exportable A4 datasheets for each variety Links to Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (PGRFA) and BreedBase databases for each variety. Performance data for different varieties across diverse environments to refine recommendations This catalogue is an invaluable tool for researchers, development practitioners, national partners, extension workers, policy makers and farmers globally.
