We are back with our #ShePowersProgress series, spotlighting our supercharging women. Today, we celebrate Priya Prasad, a Client Partner at #HCLTechCanada.
Priya joined #HCLTech as a Senior Management Trainee in 2019 ready to explore and hone her skills across various domains. Starting in Presales with HCLTech Japan, she was exposed to the intricacies of client engagement, solution crafting, and learning the Japanese language. Her journey in tackling the Sales role at HCLTech has been a significant learning curve, allowing her to develop a deep understanding of the market dynamics and clients' needs in a new cultural environment.
We couldn't be more proud of Priya for being awarded the Achievers League award, a testament to her dedication and hard work over these years.

“As I look back on my career journey, I'm grateful for the challenges that have shaped me into the woman I am today. Balancing the demands of the workplace with the joys and responsibilities of motherhood hasn't been easy, but it's been incredibly rewarding.
Indra Nooyi once said, "To be successful, you need to go through a lot of collateral damage and have the strength to power through all that." These words have been a guiding light for me as I navigated the ups and downs of my career.
Throughout my journey, I've learned three valuable lessons that I believe are essential for any woman striving to make her mark in the corporate world:
✅ Power of Mentors: Surrounding yourself with mentors who believe in your potential and are willing to offer guidance and support can make all the difference. I'm grateful for the mentors who have played a pivotal role in my career growth, especially Rajiv Shesh, the late Neelanjan Bhattacharya and Dave Chopra, who offered invaluable insights and advice along the way.
✅ Power of Solution Mindset: In a fast-paced industry like IT, challenges are inevitable. And no one likes to hear about problems. Every conversation needs to have a solution orientation and not issue dandling. The right focus on finding actionable solutions makes you an asset.
✅ Emotional Intelligence: Embracing emotional intelligence has been key to navigating the complexities of both the workplace and home. By understanding and managing my own emotions, as well as empathizing with others, I've been able to build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and lead with compassion.
As I continue to pursue my ambitions of excelling in an IT sales organization and striving to rub shoulders with powerful women in the corporate world, I'm committed to empowering and inspiring other women to do the same. Together, let's shatter glass ceilings, challenge stereotypes, and redefine what it means to be a successful woman in the workplace."
Thank you, Priya, for bringing your vibrant energy and relentless enthusiasm to work. We are lucky to have you! 👏
