Summer can be especially tough for anyone affected by a brain tumour diagnosis. Not only physically, trying to keep cool on the hot days, but emotionally too. While people around you are enjoying holidays, it can be extra hard to cope. It can really help to talk and connect with others who understand. Whilst no-one affected by a brain tumour would wish anyone else to go through the same, it can be comforting to talk to others who have had similar experiences. We are passionate about providing an online space for you to share these experiences. To join our sessions or to find out more, call us on 01454 422701 or email support@braintumoursupport.co.uk You are not alone 💙 #braintumoursupport #braintumours #onlinesupport #emotionalsupport #togetherwearestronger #highgradebraintumour #GBM #braincancer

September is Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month: Did you know there are an estimated 6.8 million people in the United Stated who have an unruptured brain aneurysm? That is roughly 1 in 50 people. Also, brain aneurysms affect more women than men, and 20% of people who are diagnosed with one brain aneurysm have more than one. If an aneurysm ruptures, or bursts, this leads to hemorrhagic stroke. These statistics stress the importance of spreading awareness, providing education, early detection and regular monitoring. Brain tumours are devastating, impacting lives in uniquely devastating ways. Now more than ever, we need to make a change. Thank you so much to everyone who has signed our open letter. The more support we have, the more likely we are to succeed in making a National Brain Tumour Strategy a priority for decision makers in Parliament. Did you know that besides signing the open letter, there are more super easy and quick ways you can support our call for a National Brain Tumour Strategy? ⏰ If you have one minute ❤️ Like, share, or comment on one of our campaign social media posts across TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X or Threads. ⏰ If you have five minutes 📣 Publish your own social media post or story in support of the campaign. Be sure to include #ItsANoBrainer and tag @BrainTumourOrg on X or @thebraintumourcharity everywhere else. ⏰ If you have a little more time 🧠 Share a video with your “No Brainer” idea when it comes to improving brain tumour care. Maybe you have ideas for what support is needed for those affected or have thoughts on faster, more efficient diagnosis. Whatever it is, we want to hear. Post it on social media to help spread the campaign far and wide.

Your brain is "plastic" - and that's a good thing! After a traumatic brain injury (TBI), the brain's ability to adapt, known as #neuroplasticity, can be strengthened through repetitive and targeted therapies. Activities like practicing specific movements or skills help “rewire” damaged areas and improve function over time. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/e6x-qDEB
