Now that we're into December, it’s the mo-ment we’ve all been waiting for, the grand total! A fantastic £3,344 raised for men's health with moustaches, miles, and mouth-watering bakes. A big thank you everyone 🥸
To prevent and treat diseases, providing nutrients in the right amount and proportions is of utmost importance. The quality of your food is far more important than taking a supplement. For example, there is a vast difference between pictures one and two in the amount of vitamin D and in the ratios of omega 3:omega 6. Can you guess which one contains more and better distribution of the aforementioned nutrients?

It's a matter of degree.
Cage free is better.
Pasture raised is even better still.
What do you think?

So totally profound! Watch to the end to get the full message!
This is especially dedicated to all my colleages in the charitable and non profit sectors! Nobody sees the work that is being done in the dark! But "if you are unwilling to go down you can't go up". No fruits without roots! Without a root system there can't be a fruit system!
Cheers Y'All!

This month I will be partaking in the Movember challenge to raise awareness for Men’s physical & mental health!
Alongside my attempt at growing a Mo I will also be running 60km across the month 🏃➡️ to raise awareness for the following key focus areas – mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
Please support by donating through my personal link: https://lnkd.in/eyPHD5v6 or via the Seven team Link below.
I just thought I would add a few pretty horrific figures around mens mental health within the construction industry that I certainly will be considering whilst out on my runs.
- According to IGPP, 82% of UK builders experience mental health problems due to work-related issues after research with UK tradespeople.
- According to Construction News, The annual construction death-by-suicide statistic is currently seven times higher than the losses in the Grenfell tragedy.
- Construction workers are six times more likely to die from mental health than a dangerous fall.
- Construction workers are nearly four times more likely to take their own lives than in other sectors.

Growing up, I was always taught to treasure the act of service—helping others when they need it, without expecting any personal gain. This principle has stayed so close to my heart that when I started Miss Details, I knew one of my business’s core values needed to be Giving Back.
I’m fortunate enough to be in a place where I can regularly donate my time, energy, efforts, and money to both people and causes I care about—from supporting animal rescue organizations to mentoring young designers. In our latest blog article, I shed some further light on what I do in the service of others, and why doing so is fundamental to the way I see my business and myself.

They say never work with animals or kids… we disagree! 👧 🐶
Our projects for commercial brands as well as for charities are shaped with the intent to treat kids like the decision-makers they are, allowing them to be heard and seen on their terms. It might sound cheesy, but ultimately our aim is to give kids a voice in culture, brand, and product development.
📅 Next week, In a three-part series of Truth Tips; Challenging Our Perceptions, Catherine Anstead and Juliet Wood encourage us to embrace kids in our research because listening to what they have to say and watching what they do can get us closer to the truth.

Gloucestershire colleagues. Can you help? We really, really need you to.
Yesterday, my incredible team and I, along with volunteers from @BraveHCG, picked, packed, collected, carried, sorted, stacked, and stuffed our way through gift sorting and hamper filling for Caring for Communities and People #HamperScamper.
We set a hamper-filling record for this year (so far). 125 hampers packed, sealed, and ready for distribution.
It would have been 150 hampers. What stopped us? Not enough cake!
The incredible thing about #HamperScamper is the generosity of such a wide group of people and businesses. The downside is we’re never quite sure what we’ll have lots of, and what we’ll have little. Right now, it’s everything, but most of all, cakes. Christmas Cakes, Yule Logs, Christmas Puddings. Whatever you want to donate.
The grand total now stands at 500 complete. 2,500 still to source and pack. There are nowhere near enough donations in yet, and every day, every item, counts.
Can you donate?
Everything you need to know (what, where, how?) is here: https://lnkd.in/eBmwHASc
[Video shows the 25 boxes that we’d part-filled, before we ran out of cake]

Let's say you want to raise chickens. Before you brought home a dozen chicks, you'd come up with a place to keep them, right? A hen house, coop, chicken run, or some such structure to keep them safe.
A strategic plan is to success what a hen house is to raising chickens.
If you don't have a strategic plan for your business or nonprofit, all the great ideas you have are like "chickens" without a hen house.
You'll end up exhausted chasing chickens around everywhere and you won't be able to find any eggs. Having a strategic plan provides a structure which will help you keep your chickens, and eat an omelet too.
In the for profit world, businesses that do the same thing as you are loosely referred to as "our competition" or "a competitor."
But what do nonprofits call other nonprofits with the same or a similar mission?
I worked in animal shelters for around a decade and we always referred to other shelters as exactly that: "another shelter."
I'd love to hear from other nonprofits on how you internally refer to other organizations with similar missions because I think we have to have a better phrase than "our competition."
While there is certainly competition in the nonprofit world, it doesn't quite seem to fit when two groups are working towards similar goals.
Let me know in the comments!

#GetfitGiveback - April is Limb Difference Awareness Month and although I am late to the party on this my wonderful wife Michelle Urbaniak has been all over her fitness goals and fundraising goals. There is still time left to make an impact and also added motivation heading into those summer months ahead!
Michelle's initial goal of $500 was crushed very quickly and she has reset it for $2,000 which I anticipate being raised higher before the end of the month. This is our first year doing this and we look forward to running it back next year + getting ahead of fundraising efforts.
