Attending the Supply Chain Sustainability Summit today ?

We had a great session at Impact UK last week, where I had the pleasure of hosting the Refurb and Repositioning ‘Tribe’. Was a really engaging discussion on how to best catalyse the re-use of our building stock. A big thanks to the session co-hosts Frederic Schwass, Lily Lin, Nicolas Swiderski, Basil Demeroutis, Harry Knibb MRTPI, Sarah Davies for their valuable insights. Key takeaways for me: ▪ We need more experience in the supply chain to help re-risk the process. ▪ We need better storytelling and project examples, not just of the 'rock star' projects, but also the 'sleeper hits’ of the unloved buildings. ▪ How re-used buildings, particularly with a cultural or heritage cache provides communities with a real sense of ownership. ▪ Got to get lenders on the same page, through good examples that illustrate the cost, carbon and broader value benefits.
