Last week, I had the opportunity to present our research on right atrial remodeling after pulmonary vein isolation, as assessed by cardiac MRI, at the NVVC Conference. 🫀 🧲 I am happy to share that I received an award for Best Abstract Presentation in the atrial fibrillation session! 🏆 A big thanks to all the co-authors for their contribution to this work and the NVVC organizers for putting together such a successful event! #NVVC2024

Today we had the honor of discussing advances in cardiac MRI with Dr. Makoto Orii. Further evidence that #photoncounting CT changes clinical pathways in coronary artery disease. 49% of patients in the study were classified to a lower CAD-RADS score (and likely a more conservative treatment option) when scanned with NAEOTOM Alpha compared to conventional CT. ‼️ PAPER ALERT ‼️ The next #MUSCcvi landmark #NAEOTOM Alpha #photoncounting CT paper in Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging! This prospective intra-individual study by Milan Vecsey-Nagy confirms the prior simulation results in a real world scenario when patients have been scanned on both energy-integrating and #photoncounting detector CT systems. By simply being scanned on a #photoncounting CT system with ultrahigh spatial resolution results in lower percent diameter stenosis values and more accurate stenosis measurements, and leads to a substantial CAD-RADS reclassification rate in 49% of patients. https://lnkd.in/eedRwMiM Giuseppe Tremamunno U.
