🇪🇺🗳️ 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 (𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲'𝘀) 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗨 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀! Young Europeans often do not vote, which means our voices aren't heard on important issues like: 🏭 Climate change, which disproportionality affects young people. 🗨 Protecting democracy, so we still live in a democracy many decades from now. 🏫 Education, so we can prepare ourselves for our future. In the upcoming elections, let's all convince three of our friends, colleagues, family members, or neighbours to vote! This is called (mathematically erroneously, lol) Vote Tripling, and it can make a big difference to get our voices heard. Second, convince them to get three or more of their contacts on board as well. Let's break the turnout record for the 2024 elections! 💯 (Ben je Nederlands, en zoek je stemadvies? Mijn stem gaat naar GroenLinks-PvdA!)

🎓 Excited to share some big news: I've completed my training as a polling station president for both federal and local elections, courtesy of the INE! 🇲🇽 This training has been an enriching experience, deepening my understanding of our democratic system and the crucial role we play as citizens in the electoral process. Throughout the program, I've gained practical skills and fundamental knowledge to ensure fair, transparent, and representative elections. 💼💡 Civic responsibility is a cornerstone of our society, and I'm committed to fulfilling my role as a polling station president with integrity and professionalism. I recognize the importance of impartiality and following established protocols to maintain trust in the electoral process. I'm prepared to tackle any challenges that may arise during elections and make informed decisions that benefit our community. 🗳️✨ As a citizen, I see elections as an opportunity to contribute to the future of our country. I'm thrilled to serve my community in this important role and committed to ensuring that every voice is heard and every vote is counted. Together, we can strengthen our democracy and build a more just and equitable future for all! #INE #Elections #CivicEngagement #Democracy #PublicService #ResponsibleCitizenship #VotingRights #ElectoralProcess #CivicEducation #SocialResponsibility 🌟 However, I also believe it's important to acknowledge that there's always room for improvement. The INE's training platform is a valuable tool, but as a community, we must advocate for continuous improvement. I invite all stakeholders in the electoral process to work together to enhance accessibility, quality, and relevance of the training programs. By investing in a more robust and adaptable training program, we can further strengthen our democracy and ensure that everyone is adequately prepared to fulfill their civic responsibilities. 🌱💪 #ContinuousImprovement #ElectoralEducation #INEImprovement #ActiveParticipation

In 2019, young people showed the true power of representation by heading to the polls and voting in the European Parliament elections. In 2024, we hope to see this story repeating, as the next months will be absolutely critical to motivate young people and raise awareness of the importance of voting in the next EU elections. In order to support our mobile voters—those who are abroad and are still unsure how they will cast their vote—and to make Erasmus+ a truly complete experience, ESN has developed a voting from abroad tool under the Erasmus Generation in Action Project - EGiA! This tool provides information on how to vote from abroad in all 27 EU countries. https://lnkd.in/denk3v-m By sharing information on how to vote from abroad in one place, we hope to inspire the future leaders of the Erasmus Generation to also be the future leaders of Europe

National elections in the #US are forthcoming. Last september 17th was #NationalVoterRegistration, the largest single-day #voter #registration drive. At #UNC, different measures are implemented to promote this fundamental right. This right is particularly relevant in North Carolina, especially in its status as a #swing #state. Its outcome may be decisive for the November elections and the country's political future. North Carolina has also made history by becoming the first state to allow the use of the university ID card as a valid form of identification for voting. This move not only facilitates access to the polls for thousands of students but also reflects a #commitment to #youth inclusion and participation. It is for this reason that I have decided to #volunteer to facilitate voter #registration for out-of-state students. Every vote counts and can make a big difference.

Let’s be real, how often are we caught off guard when it comes to voting day? We often don’t realise it’s voting day until the day of or the day before, especially when it comes to Local Government elections. The NSW Government has released its community education resources for voting this year, so you can prepare to vote this September. The Government resource provides the following: - Links to find where you can vote - Early voting centres - Access to 26 languages on how to vote - Information if you need support when voting. The NSW Local Government election will be held on Saturday, 14 September 2024. Remember, voting is compulsory. For more information on voting, see the link below. https://lnkd.in/gJxAxbGy #NSWElection #LocalGovernment #VotingNSW #EducationalResources #NSWGovernment
