CARE Canada’s Post

🌍 Statement from Julie McKinlay, Director, Humanitarian, Resilience & Advocacy, CARE Canada: “The Knesset’s vote on Monday to ban UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) from operating in areas under Israel’s control will have tragic consequences on a massive scale. The UN has already declared that Palestinians in the north of #Gaza is now at risk of death. This risk will increase dramatically if the UNRWA ban goes into effect." No other agencies can replace UNRWA's vital role in #Gaza. This ban is indefensible and will make it even more difficult to deliver desperately needed aid. We urge world leaders to do all they can to reverse this devastating decision, ensuring humanitarian access and securing a #CeasefireNOW. Lives depend on it.
