Moderated by Ms. Kanchana K V, CEO, NICEorg, four accomplished cultural entrepreneurs shared their journeys: • Ms. Pragya Batra, Co-Founder of Quirksmith, explained how her brand uses storytelling through poetry-inspired silver jewelry, attracting customers who resonate with its artistic vision. • Ms. Payal Nath, Founder of Kadam Haat, spoke about empowering marginalized communities through artisan capacity building. By connecting artisans with top Indian brands, her NGO bridges the gap between tradition and market demand. • Mr. Vijaya Krishnappa, Founder of Kosha, discussed ensuring authenticity in Banaras’s cluster economy. His venture uses technology to validate material integrity while sharing artisans' stories at scale. • Ms. Meera Ramakrishnan, Co-Founder of Zishta, shared her passion for reviving traditional kitchenware. She emphasized the uniqueness of handcrafted products, each carrying its own legacy and artisanal story. At Flourish Hearth, collaboration is our foundation. We saw the magic of it firsthand as unexpected connections blossomed— Whitewater Textile LLP, a children's apparel maker teaming up with Chittam, a toy maker to co-create offerings for children, embodying the spirit of co-creation. These serendipitous partnerships speak to the heart of our mission: that sustainable, conscious creation should be accessible to all. This gathering wasn’t just an event; it was a living manifestation of our ethos, Made from Good. Each partnership, each conversation, and each act of creation was infused with intentionality and care—ensuring that both creativity and community flourish side by side. At Flourish India, we believe that creation and consumption need not be transactional. Indeed, last three years we were on roller coaster at Extreme Commerce Incubation Network but finally cracked the code to sustain. Focus of our last two conferences were to shift incubator from Survival mode to Sustainable mode. It was critical because we were not only Pakistan’s first skill incubator but we’re of the believe that we will make it Pakistan’s first sustainable incubator. And Alhamdulillah we achieved it since last year. This year, our major focus is on to create shared value for our Incubatees through making Skillsrator, hub for ECommerce interventions to create larger impact on ECommerce community around. In this conference, our heads of incubation will consolidate Strategic Vision 2024-25. And in this journey from sustainability to scalability, we will incorporate engagement interventions that will lead the success of thousands of our current and future Incubatees along with alumni that had comparatively less success. Ogbomoso has a special place in my heart. My first time in the city was a long time ago in 2018 where I collaborated with the team at Ennovate Lab to design and deliver the first Ogbomoso Innovation Challenge through a Binghamton University grant. We did this for secondary school students, reached about 250 of them - and this event led to so many things in the years after. Long story short, I was super excited to support Oladotun's work with University Students and share a few thoughts on the future of work last Saturday. I mentioned three perspectives on leading the future of work: 👉🏾 Developing a human-centric vision: the best ideas and solutions are only so because they're relevant to humans (or what they care about). Leading the future of work isn't just about creating the next best tech tool but using available resources/technology to solve human problems. As a creator, entrepreneur, employee, gig worker, etc...who do you have in mind as you think about applying your capacity to solve problems? 👉🏾 Developing a human-centered design approach to solving problems: the first point speaks to the what, this second one, the how. In what ways are you listening to and co-creating with those you serve? 👉🏾 Developing a constructive mindset: as a coach, I couldn't escape this point. Coaching many leaders has shown me how much our mindsets can limit our leadership or supercharge our capacity to drive innovation & change. What do you need to believe about yourself to effectively drive/shape the future of work? I'm truly excited about the future of Ogbomoso (see what I did? 😁), and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to contribute in these small ways.
