Leveraging LinkedIn for Visibility and Networking and Creating an ATS-Friendly CV Saturday, September 14, 2024. I attended the Digivolution Main Event 2 activity and gained knowledge about making a good and correct CV and how to use Linkedln. Speaker : Muhammad Farhandika Putra 1. Curriculum Vitae (CV) Is a document that describes the history of a person's various experiences. Such as achievements, education, skills, achievements, and others. CV or commonly called “course of life” serves as a complete picture of career achievements. a. CV ATS CV ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is a type of CV designed to be accepted and processed by an applicant tracking system with a simple format that is often used by companies in the recruitment process and is easily read by the system. It works by scanning and then filtering. b. CREATIVE CV A CREATIVE CV is a document that describes a person's experience, skills and achievements, but with an unconventional design and format. The main purpose of a creative CV is to stand out among other applicants by visually displaying the applicant's personality and creativity. Such CVs are used in industries that value design and innovation, such as marketing, graphic design, and art. - CV Writing Tips & Tricks - 1. Personal information (full name) 2. Original domicile (city name - province) 3. E-mail & phone number (avoid using numbers in email & phone number use + (country code), for example +62 for Indonesia) 4. Life Summary (education history, organizations, interests) 5. Enter expertise Notes: Include the date and year of each experience activity, what it was part of and describe the job. 2. LinkedIn Linkedln is a social networking platform designed specifically for professionals. You can create a profile that showcases your work experience, skills, education and achievements. Another function of LinkedIn is for personal branding and networking. Arvin Rakhmaditya Refa Afillia Maritza #Digivolution2024 #BisnisDigitalUnpad2024 #FaceTheDigitalChallengeAceTheFuture

Hi connections, I recently went through a series of interviews with a company (I don't want to mention the name) and after 4 lengthy rounds, including a 45 minute technical round in Spanish, a 2-hour assessment, and more, I was informed that they were actually looking for someone with prior experience in Spanish content writing. It's really frustrating when hours of effort go to waste simply because the profile wasn't a match from the beginning. My humble request to HR professionals is if the required skills or experience aren’t aligned with the candidate’s background, please communicate this upfront. It saves valuable time and energy for both parties. A little transparency goes a long way! #Hiring #Spanish #HR #HiringProcess

Creating inclusive job adverts is essential for attracting diverse talent. It’s about more than just filling a position; it’s about inviting the best candidates to be part of your team. Here are some tips to get you started: ✅ Use Gender-Neutral Language: Replace "he/she" with "they." ✅ Focus on Skills, Not Experience: Highlight what the candidate can do, not how long they’ve done it. ✅ Showcase Your Culture: Reflect your company’s values and inclusivity. ✅ Avoid Jargon: Keep the language simple and clear. Inclusive job adverts are key to building a diverse workforce. Ready to dive deeper? Navigating job adverts can often feel like deciphering a foreign language. Here are my top tips to decode role descriptions and determine if they're worth your time: 1. **Focus on Key Responsibilities**: Identify the core duties and match them with your skills and experiences. Look for action verbs that indicate what you’ll be doing day-to-day. If the responsibilities align with your career goals and expertise, the role might be a good fit. 2. **Look for Required Qualifications**: Ensure you meet the must-have qualifications before applying. Pay attention to educational requirements, certifications, and specific skills mentioned. If you meet most but not all, assess if your other qualifications or experience compensate for what's missing. 3. **Understand the Jargon**: Research industry-specific terms to fully grasp what the role entails. Job descriptions often use buzzwords and acronyms; understanding these can clarify the actual job requirements and expectations. 4. **Company Culture**: Look for clues about the company culture in the job description. Phrases like “fast-paced environment,” “collaborative team,” or “self-starter” can give you insights into the work culture. Research the company’s values and mission to see if they align with your own. 5. **Growth Opportunities**: Check if the role offers career advancement or professional development. Look for mentions of training programs, career paths, or mentorship opportunities. A role with growth potential can be more fulfilling in the long term. By breaking down the advert into these sections, you can make a more informed decision about applying. Today, we share Viktorija Bučienė insights about how we got to know her. Viktorija challenged herself to try the automated interview and because of that we are successfully collaborating till this day.🙌 ''As a freelance communications specialist, I constantly work with various communication projects. One is collaborating with the recruitment agency AIDA Recruitment, which conducts candidate selection through an advanced TeamFill platform, which I had the opportunity to try myself. I've participated in many job interviews throughout my career, so I'm familiar with typical HR specialists' methods, expected questions, and turns. However, the AI-led interview pleasantly surprised me. The process was brief and constructive, with predictable yet well-structured questions. Most importantly, the interview occurred without the usual stress or hypothetical scenarios. I think such platforms are not only an attractive technological solution but also a truly effective tool for job searching.'' Stay tuned for some very exciting articles, insights and posts from us and Viktorija!

Writing a job ad can be challenging, but at Elton Recruitment, we take pride in getting it right! Our candidates often tell us how clear and engaging our job ads are. Our mission? To make each ad as personalised and effective as possible for every role. Here's how we approach it: 1. Detailed role information: We always include the essentials - role details, salary, and benefits - to attract candidates who are the right fit and save time by weeding out those who don't meet the criteria. 2. Readability first: Clear headings, bullet points, and concise sentences make our ads easy to skim, helping candidates find what they need quickly. 3. Highlight the positives: We make each role appealing by focusing on the benefits and using language that invites people to apply. 4. Strategic job title placement: By including the job title at least three times, we optimise each ad to reach the best-matched candidates. Looking for your next role?
