The employer, our client, simply didn’t have the time or knowledge to write an attractive job description. We often jump in, because we do feel an attractive job spec can make a difference. An attractive job spec consists in any case of the 7 aspects as mentioned in the video. One short tip for starters, don’t make your job description too long. Venting/Asking for advice People applying for jobs (like myself) are used to not-so-effective job portals. You have to copy-paste your work experience and education after uploading your resume (or fix what the system incorrectly recognizes). You have to edit chosen by the system (and not very relevant) skills. After ticking the box “I am fluent in this language,” you then need to separately select that you are fluent overall, in reading, writing, comprehension, and what not. But at least there you can choose that you’re fluent. Today, I saw something even more interesting: only three language levels - beginner, intermediate, and native. What should I do with my C1 German and English? Should I under-evaluate myself with "intermediate" or lie by selecting "native"? What would you choose? P.S. the part about "lie" was half-sarcastic - I never lie in my resume. It is just that both choices here are not good - either lie or get sorted out by ATS 🤷♀️

Employers look for a strong match. 2) Maintaining your LinkedIn in Spanish Recruiters often check LinkedIn profiles, and if it's not in English, it might cost you the opportunity. 3) Lacking relevant experience If your resume doesn’t show any experience with U.S.-based companies, it’s a red flag. Highlight transferable skills or global experience. 4) Sending a generic resume Tailor your resume for each application. Read Instructions Carefully & Prep: Before you fill out the form, thoroughly read all instructions provided. Make sure you understand each section and any requirements or guidelines for completing the application. You may wish to gather all necessary information and documents before starting the process. This may include your CV, supporting statement, employment history, education details, and any relevant certifications or licenses. 2. Be Honest and Accurate: Provide accurate and truthful information on the application form. Double-check dates, names, and other details to ensure accuracy. Avoid exaggerating or falsifying information, as this could harm your credibility if discovered later. 3. Highlight Relevant Skills & Experience and Personalise Responses: Adjust your responses to highlight skills, qualifications, and experience that are relevant to the job you're applying for. Use specific examples to demonstrate your capabilities and achievements. (Our tribepad system is extremely efficient! When you complete your profile and application form once, the system will hold onto this again for when you next apply for a job, so be sure to amend your responses to suit each role) 4.
