I’ll be at UF next week recruiting with Invisors! Stop by our booth to learn more about our consulting opportunities post grad 🐊 Why Invisors? Reaching senior year of college at UF, I still did not know what I saw myself doing post grad. I knew I wasn’t pulled towards the big corporations, I knew I didn’t want to feel like just a number, I knew a welcoming, close knit culture and feeling like my work had impact was the most important to me. And that’s about all I knew! I found Invisors at UF career fair, and felt right away how it was different than the other booths. The team that was recruiting (now my good friends) actually cared about who I was and what I wanted in a company. I expressed my reservations about working “corporate”, how I wanted a culture of *actually* caring, how I wanted remote flexibility, how I didn’t really know what I wanted to do, but I knew my strengths and I knew my weaknesses and was willing to LEARN! Invisors understood exactly where I was coming from - and they all felt the same way when they were in my shoes. I have noticed that throughout college, it is easy to feel pushed to work at a Fortune 50 company. I have friends that work at the big four accounting firms, I have friends that work at big banks, I have friends that work at the top consulting firms in the US… that is all great - BUT, know that sometimes, boutique is better! If you resonate with any of this, come find us at career fair - we are excited to meet you! #gogators

21st Feb, 2024 marked my inaugural representation of Zoomlion N. A. at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee career fair. The atmosphere was reminiscent of my own school days, with the excitement of being on a university campus and engaging with ambitious students. Observing students navigate through company booths filled me with enthusiasm. Their eagerness and aspirations for the future were truly captivating. Each student’s distinct personality shone through in their interactions with company representatives, reflecting a promising future fueled by diverse skill sets and an unwavering drive for progress. The curiosity and inquisitiveness I witnessed affirmed my belief that the upcoming generation is well-equipped to face the challenges that lie ahead. It’s reassuring to see that educational institutions are fostering a mindset of exploration and preparation for the complexities of the professional world. Despite my cautious optimism, I hope their confidence is not merely superficial, and I maintain a positive outlook on the future. Accompanying an alumnus to the event provided valuable insights into their background and expectations in the real world. As their leader, I recognize the challenge of keeping them motivated and productive, ensuring they are well-prepared to navigate the demands of the professional landscape. Today’s experience reaffirmed the importance of fostering a dynamic and challenging environment for our team’s growth. #RepresentingZoomlionNA #CareerFairExperience #FutureLeaders #UniversityEngagement #InspiringStudents #DiverseSkillsets #ProfessionalGrowth #OptimismInTheFuture #summerinternship2024 #structuredesign #heavyequipment

Hey! Green Skills Career people... Thinking about future careers can be tough and stressful to young people. We are frequently advised that to be successful in our careers, we must follow a certain path; however, we know this is not the case. There are many twists and turns in life, and we frequently find ourselves in an interesting career that we never expected or even knew existed. Unlike a traditional careers fair, we hope that this event will dispel what a Green Skills profession entails by showcasing the wide range of jobs available that are related to sustainability. We also want to highlight the irregular routes you can take to reach such careers. This is where YOU come in!! We invite you to come down to the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School, not only to represent your job, but also to represent yourself, so that students can ask you questions about how you got to where you are. We are looking for delegates from a wide range of diverse backgrounds with a focus on green skills careers. What you will be doing on the day You will each have your own 'station', a medium size table, whith a board explaining the journey you have been on to get to your green skills career. Each group of students will spend some time at your station (~5 minutes) where you can explain who you are and the journey you've been on. Full marks if you can provide a more immersive experience or a task for the students that lasts a few minuts, to get them engaged on your sustainability topic of choice. Any questions or not sure what you can do, just ask us! Preparation Once you sign up to the event we will send through a short 2-3 minute questionnaire for you to fill in. We will ask you questions about your current role and the journey you've been on to get there! This will then be presented to the students on the day in the way of an A3 board that sits at your station. We are prepared to accept more than one delegate from a company if those additional delegates offer distinct perspectives on their experience compared to their colleagues.
Love Design Studio is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a Green Skills Career Fair at the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson school for girls in Islington on 24th April from 12:30-16:00 and we want YOU to help students discover exciting career opportunities in the green industry. We already have a great array of delegates, but there is room for additional firms and individuals to participate, so please join if you are available and the appropriate match! Sign up to the link below or reach out to mail@lovedesignstudio.co.uk for more details! https://lnkd.in/eBMnNB4g
