In a world often overshadowed by negativity and conflict, the enduring presence of humanity and kindness shines through in countless ways. Acts of compassion and generosity remind us of our shared human connection. From community volunteers helping those in need to strangers offering a simple smile or a helping hand, these moments of kindness ripple through society, fostering hope and unity. Stories of individuals and organizations making a difference abound: neighbors supporting each other during crises, medical professionals going beyond the call of duty, and everyday heroes showing extraordinary empathy. These actions, big or small, reaffirm our belief in the goodness inherent in people. Charitable initiatives and grassroots movements further demonstrate this spirit. Whether it's providing meals to the hungry, sheltering the homeless, or advocating for social justice, these efforts illustrate a collective commitment to creating a better world. Social media also amplifies these positive stories, inspiring others to act with kindness and compassion. Despite challenges and uncertainties, humanity's capacity for kindness prevails. It is this unwavering spirit that nurtures resilience and cultivates a sense of community. Ultimately, the everyday acts of kindness we witness and partake in serve as a testament to the enduring power of empathy and compassion in our lives.

Here’s how you make a meaningful impact: empowering young children to be empathetic and entrepreneurial. It’s wild to think I was once one of these kids. If you’re looking for long-term proof of the difference this makes—here I am!
CEO & Founder of Team Kids | Social Innovator | Fueling National Movement to Protect & Empower our Next Gen Leaders 🌍 | Brain Tumor Survivor 🧠 | Collaborator for Awesome Impact 🤝
💥 Team Kids Launched in Santa Ana 💥 🎥 Video below spotlights EBC’s young entrepreneurs and philanthropists! 🔈 on. 🚎 My heart could not be more inspired and filled with joy, after witnessing these empowered Team Kids World Changers in action today. 💙 ☀️ Today was the closing carnival for our flagship Team Kids Challenge Program at Edward B. Cole, Sr. Academy in the City of Santa Ana. 😍 Following our kickoff assembly last month, the oldest two grades of students were invited, and volunteered, to serve on the Team Kids Leadership Team, alongside our staff, public safety and military mentors. They gave up their lunch recess, once week for a month, to become compassionate entrepreneurs and philanthorpists! 🐈 The young leaders came together and voted on where they wanted to donate 100% of their carnival proceeds. The students voted to ensure “that every animal would have a loving home,” with proceeds being donated to OC Animal Care. 💪 Over the past 6 weeks, students from Kindergarten (TK) to 5th grade served as passionate community advocates helping the following organizations/issues: - 🤗 Homelessness - The students collected and donated 40 bags/ 20 boxes of clothing and shoes to Orange County Rescue Mission - 👧🏽 Pediatric Cancer Warriors - Students filled a large box with new art supplies and personally wrote kindness cards for CHOC Children's - 🐶 Animals - Students filled 3 large boxes of gently used towels and blankets for OC Animal Care 🎥 This video captures the magic that these incredible world changers delivered today! ❤️ Our world is great hands with the compassionate young leaders like the ones at EBC Academy in Santa Ana! 🌎 👏 Big thanks to Tiffany Roberts and Farmers & Merchants Bank of Long Beach for sponsoring our program at EBC, and to our team, partners and youth champions who made our Team Kids - Santa Ana expansion possible, including: Yanet Gonzalez Jenny Dinnen Eric L. This Thanksgiving, we at JPNDC hope you take a moment to relax, reflect, and enjoy time with your loved ones as we look ahead to the year to come. We also encourage you to use this time to learn more about the true history of Thanksgiving. While traditions are important, it’s essential to understand and honor the deeper meaning behind them, especially when it comes to the impact on Indigenous communities. By educating ourselves and others, we can celebrate more mindfully and responsibly. Here are four ways you can start: 1. Learn the Real History: Explore the true origins of Thanksgiving and its effects on Indigenous peoples. This article is a great place to start: https://lnkd.in/e7ihm3yK 2. Listen to Indigenous Voices: Hear messages of unity and resilience from Indigenous Rights Radio: https://lnkd.in/eMu-xKda. 3. The 2024 State Report Cards are here! The report cards provide states with a roadmap for improving community design for physical activity and #ActivePeople. This report is a huge undertaking by our incredible team at Safe Routes Partnership, and I am so proud of their work. How is your state doing? What opportunities do you see for your state to improve #walking, #bicycling, #SafeRoutesToSchool, and #physicalactivity?
The Safe Routes Partnership is thrilled to announce the 2024 state report cards, “Making Strides,” are now available. “Making Strides” is a partnership with the YMCA of the USA and funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. These state report cards allow state and local Ys, nonprofit organizations, agency personnel, communities, and individuals to identify where a state has done well to advance policies and practices and where more work is needed. The report cards can be used to inspire action across the country to better support community design for physical activity and #ActivePeople. The holiday season is a time for love, warmth, and connection—but for too many animals, it's a season of longing. ❤️🩹 Right now, countless animals are waiting for the care and companionship they deserve. Together, we can ensure no one gets left behind. Thanks to your incredible support, we've already achieved meaningful change this year: 🐮 Stronger protections for farmed animals — improving lives and preventing suffering. 🐴 Progress with Bill C-355 — moving closer to ending the live export of horses for slaughter. 🐶 Support for over 4,000 families — connecting guardians and pets to vital food bank resources. 🏠 Emergency safety efforts — providing shelters and Violence Link training to protect animals and families during crises. But there’s still so much more we can do. Every dollar brings change. Every donation ensures no animal is left behind. Let’s keep making a difference—together. Hope this holiday season begins with you. ❤️ Offer hope: https://lnkd.in/gUdSDbHK this holiday season.
