It is imperative, particularly after all of the harm already done, that the government strongly consider children’s health, wellness, and development when handling the cases of families seeking asylum, especially in making decisions about family separation. Population ageing is changing family conversations. As communities and families we need to build our awareness and our knowledge about recognising and responding to changes that can occur with getting older. We also need to acknowledge #endoflife as part of ageing and thinking about what's important as we age and approach death.
