Investing in the mental health of our youth is paramount for their overall well-being and future success. Adolescence is a crucial stage where positive mental health fosters academic achievement, resilient coping mechanisms, and healthy social relationships. By prioritizing early intervention and support, we can empower youth to navigate the challenges of adolescence effectively and lay the foundation for a lifetime of mental well-being. Consider joining the movement to ensure our youth have the resources and support they need to thrive mentally and emotionally.

I want to thank Rev. Carmi Washington Flood and the DMV Faith in Action Group (a collaboration between the health departments of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC)for inviting me to kick off their 2024 webinar series. I was able to educate faith leaders and others about mental health and the importance of modeling positive mental health practices within our faith communities. I encouraged participants to imagine what our faith communities might look like if: *there were safe spaces in communities of faith for people, including clergy, to be honest? *Mental health resources were displayed prominently and discreetly at the same time? *Faith and therapy could co-exist without judgement or stigma? *We have the conversation within our faith communities? I also challenged them with two thought questions: 1. What might the intersection between faith and therapy look like in your faith community? 2. How will you be a part of the solution?

#Mentalhealth is a crucial challenge for our societies now and in the future, luckily we are more and more conscious of these matters, and more open to “talk about it”. Our OPADE project is bridging between biology and mental condition to enchance the efficacy of antidepressant treatment
OPADE supports the #EuropeanMentalHealthWeek! 🌟 We join the pan-European initiative to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and reduce stigma. We encourage you to follow the program prepared by @MentalHealthEurope from 13 to 19 May. 🌟 Remember, we are #BetterTogether! 😊 #OPADE

The theme for this year's Children's Mental Health Acceptance Week is "Lighting the Path to Social Justice for Children and Youth." You might be asking, what does social justice mean in terms of mental health? The National Federation of Families (NFF) has provided a helpful answer to that question: 1) Equity at every level of society 2) Ensuring that all members of our society are physically and psychologically safe and secure 3) Giving every person the opportunity to live up to their full potential 4) Supporting one another to live meaningful, purposeful lives and lastly, offering acceptance. For activities, worksheets, videos, and resources about the importance of accepting mental health challenges, visit: https://lnkd.in/eKMvj7S8 and for information on how you can move towards acceptance, visit: https://lnkd.in/ew3UkcqX (Source: ffcmh.org) #AcceptAdvocateAct #SocialJusticeForFamilies #ChildrensMentalHealth #MentalHealthAcceptance
