There were some great sessions today at the Innovation Day event as part of Cambridge Tech Week. Thank you to the whole team for putting on such a wonderful event. There were many different things to take away from all of the talks, but these are two of the main things that jumped out for me:   We heard that, in the early stage of company formation, culture forms from behaviours of the founder - you only get one chance to do this and it is well known that cultural change is extremely tough to deliver. How many founders are thinking about how their behaviour and approach is shaping this at the early stages of their journey? However, it is a really important tool and is one of the things that early stage investors will look for as a pointer to success.   We also heard that it is important that Founders ensure that the innovation or idea that their company is based on can be formed in to the idea of a "product". When considering this product it is paramount that it addresses a need, where customers are willing to pay for it and, importantly, where there is a drive (an "urgency") which will drive the whole process. How many founders can put their hands on their hearts and say that they have considered this early in their development?   There was also some great networking and a chance to speak to a number of tech start-ups and early stage businesses. I left with a spring in my step and a feeling that even bigger and better businesses are going to come out of this great city.   It would be great to hear any other thoughts and ideas coming out from other attendees.   #CAMTECHWEEK
