The time has come to move on to new challenges. This is a very old image of Jonathan Rintala and me, at KTH Innovation. We had just figured out we made the finals of Business Challenge 2021 and we needed a last-minute picture! Luckily, we actually ended up winning a price there (even though it wasn’t the big one). That’s just one of many experiences I've had only thanks to Univid. The entire process has been insanely valuable, and all the things I’ve learnt, and people I’ve met through Univid has been incredible. (To anyone curious about building something – just do it.) While Univid is not a unicorn (yet), our product is used for 1000s of webinars every year around the world, with hundreds of thousands of happy participants, and customer reviews of 4.8/5 on G2. That is something I’m very proud of building 😊 But the time has come to move on to new challenges, and since a few weeks I’m no longer working with Univid full time. Instead, Eric Lewerentz is taking charge of the tech going forward, and I will support whenever it’s needed. What the next step will be is still open. Until that’s decided I’m doing some consulting work. These last weeks, I’ve worked with Lovable on AI code-gen collaboration, and currently building a very cool product with Listen Labs that will be launching soon. If you are building on something, I’m excited to talk about collaborating! Also more than happy to help early-stage startups to maybe shortcut at least some of the mistakes that we made along the way! There were some great sessions today at the Innovation Day event as part of Cambridge Tech Week. Thank you to the whole team for putting on such a wonderful event. There were many different things to take away from all of the talks, but these are two of the main things that jumped out for me:   We heard that, in the early stage of company formation, culture forms from behaviours of the founder - you only get one chance to do this and it is well known that cultural change is extremely tough to deliver. How many founders are thinking about how their behaviour and approach is shaping this at the early stages of their journey? However, it is a really important tool and is one of the things that early stage investors will look for as a pointer to success.   We also heard that it is important that Founders ensure that the innovation or idea that their company is based on can be formed in to the idea of a "product". When considering this product it is paramount that it addresses a need, where customers are willing to pay for it and, importantly, where there is a drive (an "urgency") which will drive the whole process. How many founders can put their hands on their hearts and say that they have considered this early in their development?   There was also some great networking and a chance to speak to a number of tech start-ups and early stage businesses. I left with a spring in my step and a feeling that even bigger and better businesses are going to come out of this great city.   It would be great to hear any other thoughts and ideas coming out from other attendees.   #CAMTECHWEEK
