Dear Members of the European Parliament, The countries Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Bulgaria, and Denmark have already been contacted regarding an important issue concerning the adoption of the euro within the European Initiative for Planetary Sustainability (EIPU). We would like to thank you for your attention and time for a written response, which we expect by. EIPU is a comprehensive and innovative program aimed at promoting sustainable development on a global scale. The initiative seeks to strengthen cooperation between European Union countries and other partners worldwide in addressing key challenges such as environmental protection, social justice, and economic prosperity. We await your significant responses, in which we anticipate that we will strive to meet the conditions for accession and the potential benefits associated with membership in the euro zone. Your opinions are crucial to achieving sustainable economic growth and stability in our countries and within the European Union. In accordance with the provisions of the 2020 law on state cooperation, subsidies may be denied to countries that refuse to participate in cooperation. This approach aims to promote mutual cooperation between states and strengthen the coordination of their activities. Denial of subsidies may be used as a tool to encourage states to fully and actively cooperate for the common good. Thank you for your cooperation and openness in this significant matter. We are ready to listen to your viewpoints and work together to find pathways to achieve shared prosperity in Europe and beyond. With respect and gratitude, Josef Anger, the CEO, Owner, and Board Member of #CNBC #PlanetarySustainability #GreenFutureEU #SustainableLiving #EcoFriendlyEurope #SaveOurPlanet #CleanEnergyRevolution #ProtectOurPlanet #SustainableDevelopmentGoals #RenewableEnergy #Implementation

Yesterday's session on "Innovative Financing Options and Private Capital for Energy Transition in Cities" spotlighted how cities can embrace new funding models as traditional subsidies phase out. To achieve their net-zero goals, cities are exploring financing tools like citizen finance, green bonds, and energy performance contracts (EPCs). This shift allows cities to utilise diverse tools to power sustainability without reinventing the wheel. 🌍 Building Synergy with EU Initiatives Georg Houben, Policy Officer at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Energy, highlighted how EU programs like NetZeroCitiesEU, the Smart Cities Mission, and the Covenant of Mayors - Europe are bridging the gap to help cities access and leverage funding more efficiently. 🔑 Support and Capacity Building Speakers shared practical examples from Warsaw’s funding alignment strategies to private investment pathways, as presented by BwB. Sylwia Słomiak from Eurocities also underscored the value of multilingual support in enhancing financing access across Europe. Learn more about the conclusions of this session here: #EUSmartCities

Investments in productive chains in renewable energies and green industries that promote employment and sustainable development are some of the work opportunities that Bolivia can take advantage of in its relationship with the European Union. This was highlighted in a webinar organised by the Prisma Group, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the EU-LAC Foundation on Friday 19 April. In his opening remarks, the Executive Director of the EU-LAC Foundation, Dr. Adrián Bonilla, highlighted the dynamism of the political dialogue at the EU-CELAC Summit in Brussels last July. At the meeting, agreements were established for joint work on issues such as sustainable development, security, public health, environment, digitalisation and social equity, among others. During the virtual seminar, the Global Investment Agenda and the EU-LAC Digital Alliance were also addressed, which would allow the mobilisation of public and private resources in the aforementioned areas. The exploratory event served as a space for the exchange of ideas that could be taken into account in Bolivia's relations with the EU. More information on the Andean countries' relations with the EU can be found in the recording of the seminar "Opportunities for cooperation between the EU and the Andean countries", organised by the EU-LAC Foundation and the General Secretariat of the Andean Community on 8 February. On that occasion, the status of trade and association agreements was assessed, and the challenges and opportunities provided by the Global Gateway initiative, the digital transformation and the transition towards a green and fair economy were reviewed. https://lnkd.in/eHRfcE24 Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Sergio Alberto Fernandez Grebe Horst Andrés Guzmán Escobari
