I wasn't the best pitching to investors, but I've learnt so much listening to other entrepreneurs do it. These are some tips for entrepreneurs after a day watching pitches at 4YFN representing GoHub Ventures 👇 1. Be clear about what you do. Make sure the audience understands it right away 2. Don't use technical words. Your audience might not be field experts like you are 3. Speak with excitement but don't overdo it. 4. Set an objective with your pitch. If you are fundraising make sure it lands on investors Tell me what you'd add on the comments

Two pieces of advice every founder needs to hear: 1. You're not alone. Every founder out there is facing similar challenges. It's easy to feel isolated, but trust me, we're all in this together. 2. Don’t be afraid to talk to a lawyer. Legal fees sound daunting when you're starting out. But a quick consultation early on can save you major headaches down the road. Many startup lawyers (myself included) are willing to have an initial chat over coffee at no cost. We bet on founders just like you bet on yourself. Remember, we're in this together.

𝐻𝑎𝑙𝑓 𝑓𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠, ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑓 𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑙𝑠. 100% valuable conversations 🙌 Last Friday, Amela, together with Croton Capital and STUDIO LEGAL Rechtsanwälte, co-hosted a 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 & 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭 ☕. The room was split evenly between angel investors and first-time founders. The focus? Legal insights and meaningful discussions. Founded and led by Anna Fedulow, Croton Capital is a highly diverse international business angel syndicate focused on bringing value to impactful early-stage tech companies with underrepresented founders. Yamila Eraso, Partner at Studio Legal, shared crucial advice on: - Legal structures for raising capital - Different types of legal instruments like CLA and SAFE - Pros and cons of each instrument Turns out, understanding these early on can save a lot of trouble later. We also opened the floor for discussions on expectations: - What founders expect from angel investors - What investors look for in founders It was enlightening to hear both sides. Reporting, for instance, emerged as a key tool for building trust and leveraging networks. One story stood out—a former founder shared a cautionary tale about the pitfalls of neglecting these legal aspects early on. This event reinforced our belief that: Collaboration is the way to go. We’re committed to creating spaces where valuable relationships and insights can flourish.
