"There's no 'I' in team..." How many times has that phrase been said? The strange thing is that the most used cliches tend to have some truth behind them, and none more so than this one. In sport, in business and in all areas of life, we are more successful when we work as a team. But that's not to say that there isn't room for individuals to shine. This is something that was flagged in the conversation between our CEO, Bev White, and Olympic Silver Medallist Leon Taylor. Had an incredible time last week at the Michael Page event where Kevin Finnerty invited ex-NRL legend, James Graham !🏉 It was filled with inspiring conversations about leadership, teamwork, and the discipline it takes to succeed in the world of sports. My two key takeaways were: 1: “Positive Action Mindset": It's not just about staying positive, but taking actions to create positive outcomes. 2: Different people are motivated by different things. To get a team to win, leaders need to accept and openly talk about these different motivations. Some of my network knows how much I love watching rugby league. It's very inspirational to see individual players grow, face failures, and make comebacks! This discipline also applies to my day-to-day recruitment world. What habits do you have to keep yourself on track in business situations? Share in the comments below! 👇 #michaelpage #pagegroup #leadership #nrl #jamesgraham #positiveaction #recruitment

Not every team and member is built the same way. It is critical for the manager to understand each of the personalities and manage the group with its myriad of personalities. In some cases, it can become evident to the manager that the reason the team is faltering, is not due to talent, but rather misguided talent. Understanding what makes each employee tick is critical to maximize productivity out of each of the employees and ultimately the overall team. That being said, the employee bears some of the burden of optimizing their environment and electing to become part of the program. Myth: Being the boss means you can do and say what you want❗️ It’s much harder than that if you don’t want the organisation/division/department to be a reflection of your greatest and worst personality flaws. If only leaders know how their actions are seen and amplified throughout an organisation... often unintentionally. This is why #feedback and #selfawareness is so important in leadership. Yet sadly, not very prevalent. More than words in a Town Hall speech or Values Posters on the wall, your behaviour (and underlying beliefs) can shape a culture especially if *you* do it daily. If you love to innovate, you coach, people will do the same to their staff and colleagues. If you are impatient and demand performance, they will mirror what you do and also fail to do (tolerate). Really inspiring insight Andres Bianchi, I would have missed it completely. 🙏🏻 #leadershipchoices #leadership #culture

Manchester United players with a fan at Wembley. Notice the change after Casemiro's hug. After 15 years fostering talent and corporate culture, I’ve witnessed a profound truth: ACTIONS RESONATE LOUDER THAN WORDS. As leaders, our commitment to empathetic and tolerant teams is measured not by our declarations, but by our deeds. When we embody the values we preach, we create a ripple effect, as Casemiro did that day in Wembley. Let’s be the examples that inspire change. Because when it comes to shaping a culture of human-centered leadership, our actions are our legacy. #Leadership #DiversityAndInclusion #CorporateCulture #LeadByExample

One of the most inspiring person of leadership experts, John C. Maxwell, once said "Teamwork makes the dream work, but a vision becomes a nightmare when the leader has a big dream and a bad team". So, we begin the 2024 by synergizing ourselves to move towards the vision. Raising the bar. Again. #IndotruckUtama #RaisingtheBarAgain2024
