Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad may I suggest: ASEAN CLIMATE CHANGE OBSERVATORY MALAYSIA My Idea for Malaysia's Greater Role In ASEAN Climate Change Management The proposed “ASEAN Climate Change Observatory Malaysia” will be a center of research, data collection and analysis on climate change and the resultant development of suggestions and strategies for formulation of policies in the various socio-economic sectors in the ASEAN region led by Malaysia. Since climate change has vast socio-economic effects on modern life the key is to have a timely and thorough knowledge and understanding of the rapidly changing phenomena so to be able to pre-empt its impact and shape the business, economic and social strategies accordingly. “ASEAN Climate Change Observatory Malaysia” will make this possible. Scientists, professors and students from across ASEAN will work at the proposed “ASEAN Climate Change Observatory Malaysia”. “ASEAN Climate Change Observatory Malaysia” will significantly contribute to making Malaysia the hub of knowledge, learning and scientific research on the multifarious aspects of climate change in the region.
