⚓️ The Cluster Maritime Luxembourgeois asbl attended the 19th edition of the Les Assises de l'économie de la mer. AEM moves to a different region of #France each year, and for the 2024 edition, the gathering of the entire French maritime industry took place in the city of #Bordeaux. 🌊 Bordeaux holds special significance for our Chairman, Fabrice MAIRE — Director of Intershipping, SOCATRA's group, which is based in this Atlantic-facing city. 🎙 The Chairman of Cluster Maritime Français, Nathalie MERCIER-PERRIN, opened the two-day event by participating in the opening roundtable discussion. She emphasized the importance of a harmonized approach at both the national and European levels. She highlighted the role of the European Network of Maritime Clusters (ENMC) in amplifying the voice of the #BlueEconomy, advocating for its recognition as a primary industry, and proactively driving solutions for our sectors. 🎙 The second day began with a presentation by Laurent Bozzoni — CEO of SOCATRA, who shared the recent advancements in velic #innovation. The highlight was the success of the 𝗔𝗹𝗰𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, featuring two rotor sails that enable up to a 21% reduction in fuel consumption per voyage.
