We make colors happen! Whether you have distinct taste, or a unique object that needs a custom designed look, we from colorFabb will help you get any color PLA filament you require. We have pre-matched over 200 colors, readily available for production. Furthermore, we can match and make any RAL color you desire. When we started this service, back in 2018, we had pre-matched 50 colors and sold these on 2200 g spools. Nowadays we tripled the amount of pre-matched colors and have lowered the treshhold for Color on Demand even further, as low as one 750 g spool of your preferred color and a lead time of only 5 days on matched colors! Please be aware that we use the actual RAL reference. Colors on a computer screen, printed images and promotional art can give a misrepresentation of the actual color. Injection molded color plaques can be ordered for a quality check before ordering a full spool. All filaments produced are optically checked by our specialized production and QA team. What is Embossing and Debossing? Embossing and debossing are powerful print techniques that create raised or recessed designs, adding texture and sophistication to materials like stationery, brochures, and promotional items. Often paired with foil or ink, these methods not only elevate aesthetics but can also act as security features against counterfeiting. With options for intricate multi-level designs, embossing and debossing unlock unique creative possibilities. To prepare design files for print, start by setting the correct dimensions and ensuring a bleed area (usually 3mm or 0.125 inches) around the design to prevent trimming errors. Use CMYK color mode for accurate printing and ensure the resolution is at least 300 DPI for crisp output. Convert all fonts to outlines or curves to avoid font substitution issues. Additionally, embed or flatten all linked images to maintain consistency. Save your file in a print-ready format, such as PDF/X-1a, for professional results. For instance, when designing a flyer, if the size is 8.5” x 11”, include a 0.125” bleed on all sides, ensuring no critical elements are near the edges. Save the file as a high-quality PDF with crop marks included. #studeo360 #printdesign #print #printresolution

🌙 A Night on Press 🌙 The loud, rhythmic sound of the web press surrounds me, mixed with the strong chemical smell of ink, creating a sensory symphony. I walk towards the pressman, waiting by the first press sheets. The make-ready is complete, and they await my final approval. The press computer has done its job, bringing the colors on the sheet close to perfection, but not quite there yet. Despite all our technological advances, the human touch is still essential on a press. The magic of blending the four primary colors into a final masterpiece isn't complete; the last details need our attention. Colors are subjective, each hue seen through our unique lens. To me, colors aren't just real; they are the emotions we feel when we look at them. On a press, the hues we see are influenced by many variables: the brand and quality of the inks, the paper's coating, and the press itself. Each job carries its own distinct fingerprint, impossible to replicate exactly from one press to another. It’s up to the pressman’s experience and my eye for color to make the final adjustments, perfecting the ink density. At this crucial moment, the cyan, magenta, yellow, and black come together in a harmonious symphony, guided by technology and the subtle touch of human hands. 🙌 🎶 This symphony isn’t heard with our ears, but seen with our eyes. 🎵 It's incredibly satisfying to see the results of our efforts, a vision brought to life on a roll of paper. 💙🩷💛🖤 #webpress #CMYK #OffsetPrinting #printing

🛑 STOP! 🛑 Don't send that file to print without making these four checks: 1️⃣ Check the Resolution: Make sure all images and graphics are at least 300 DPI (dots per inch). This ensures your prints come out sharp and clear, avoiding any pixelation or blurriness. 2️⃣ Bleed is Sufficient: Ensure your design extends beyond the trim line by about 0.125 inches (3 mm). This helps prevent unwanted white borders or unprinted edges once your prints are cut to size. 3️⃣ Color Mode: Convert your file to CMYK color mode. CMYK is used for printing, ensuring your colors come out vibrant and true to design, unlike RGB, which is optimized for digital displays. 4️⃣ Spelling & Grammar: Double-check your text for any spelling and grammatical errors. A simple typo can lead to costly reprints, so thorough proofreading is essential. Print smarter with Davant! 📑✨ #PrePrintChecklist #DavantIndy"

1️⃣ **Drawing on the Plate**: It all begins with a copper or zinc plate coated in wax. I use a needle to carefully draw into the wax, exposing the metal beneath. 2️⃣ **Acid Bath**: The plate is then submerged in an acid bath, which etches away the exposed metal lines, creating grooves that will hold the ink. 3️⃣ **Inking the Plate**: After cleaning off the wax, I spread ink over the entire plate, pressing it into the etched lines, then wipe away the excess from the surface. 4️⃣ **Printing**: The inked plate is placed on the press with dampened paper on top, and the pressure transfers the ink from the grooves to the paper, revealing the image. 5️⃣ **Final Touches**: Each print is a little unique due to the handcrafted process #EtchingProcess #Printmaking #FineArtPrint #HandmadeArt #EtchingSteps #ArtOfProcess #StudioLife #CopperPlateEtching

Printing that pops (up)! When you want to print a pop-up brochure, it's absolutely critical to receive a hard-copy proof showing exactly how the finished piece will work and look. We use a Zund G3 to cut and score the component pieces, assemble a hard-copy proof and if adjustments are needed, we tweak the files. Once you verify that everything is just so, it's time to print! #popupbrocure #popupprinting #brochures #optum #freshcolorpress

In this Vintage Design Tool post, do you know what these tools are called? This month, I wanted to show a Pantone color fan deck and loupe. It has been years since I have used my Pantone color deck. Right now, I am working on a poster project and I may want to print the design using screen printing, so I am looking at some colors that will work in my design. I also have not used my loupe. A loupe is a simple, small magnifier used to see tiny things more carefully, like dot screens when printing or how the color is setting on the press sheet. Hopefully my loupe will be able to take a field trip on my next press check. #reite_design #graphicdesigner #creativedirection #freelancedesign
