🌙 A Night on Press 🌙 The loud, rhythmic sound of the web press surrounds me, mixed with the strong chemical smell of ink, creating a sensory symphony. I walk towards the pressman, waiting by the first press sheets. The make-ready is complete, and they await my final approval. The press computer has done its job, bringing the colors on the sheet close to perfection, but not quite there yet. Despite all our technological advances, the human touch is still essential on a press. The magic of blending the four primary colors into a final masterpiece isn't complete; the last details need our attention. Colors are subjective, each hue seen through our unique lens. To me, colors aren't just real; they are the emotions we feel when we look at them. On a press, the hues we see are influenced by many variables: the brand and quality of the inks, the paper's coating, and the press itself. Each job carries its own distinct fingerprint, impossible to replicate exactly from one press to another. It’s up to the pressman’s experience and my eye for color to make the final adjustments, perfecting the ink density. At this crucial moment, the cyan, magenta, yellow, and black come together in a harmonious symphony, guided by technology and the subtle touch of human hands. 🙌 🎶 This symphony isn’t heard with our ears, but seen with our eyes. 🎵 It's incredibly satisfying to see the results of our efforts, a vision brought to life on a roll of paper. 💙🩷💛🖤 #webpress #CMYK #OffsetPrinting #printing

✨🤩There are two primary ways to mix colors: additive and subtractive color mixing. ✨Each method is fundamental to understanding how colors blend and form new hues. 1.Additive Color Mixing Additive mixing involves combining different colors of light. This method is based on three primary colors: red, green, and blue (RGB). When combined, these colors create new colors by adding wavelengths together. For example, red and green light make yellow, red and blue create magenta, and blue and green produce cyan. When all three colors are mixed in equal proportions, they form white light. Additive color mixing is used in digital screens and lighting. 2. Subtractive Color Mixing Subtractive mixing involves combining pigments, dyes, or paints. The primary colors in this model are cyan, magenta, and yellow (CMY). When these #colors mix, they subtract wavelengths from white light, producing different colors. For instance, mixing cyan and magenta yields blue, magenta and yellow make red, and cyan and yellow produce green. Combining all three colors creates black or a very dark color. Subtractive color mixing is common in painting, printing, and other physical mediums. The perception of a new color depends on the #wavelengths that reach our eyes. #science #arts #colours

Random facts you learn working at a glass factory… Yes, I worked at a glass factory here in Israel for about a year. Graphic design and glass printing specialty pieces… cool stuff! But one thing I learned is that standard glass has a green tint to it (look at a pane of glass from the side, you'll see.) There was an option to get "extra clear" glass with that tint almost entirely gone, but that was more costly. What made me think of this? Editing interviews, I noticed the green tint of the table, especially when filmed at a sharp angle to the table, it's clearly visible. Not bothersome, but just reminded me of this random thing I learned. #themoreyouknow

There are colours that make us happy. Do you know that if you look at a black-and-white image, it can take you a moment longer to recognise what it is than if that image is in full colour? That’s because we're hard wired to respond to the stimulus of colour. Visible colours have wavelengths that produce electrical impulses that have an effect on our bodies. They even work when you’re asleep. Different cultures, genders, and personalities respond differently to the same colour but those differences narrow right down when it comes to the colours that make us feel happy. We've delved into the psychology of colour and created a list of the 7 most common colours that prompt feelings of happiness and why they work. Check out our free article for the details or call us for a chat about how we can make vibrant full colour work for you. https://lnkd.in/gmm5M2J4 #PrintWorksBest #ColourTherapy #Printing #PerthBusiness #Creativity #AdvertisingAndMarketing #PackagingDesign #SupportLocal IMAGE: A collage of close-ups of people smiling happily, each person is against a different coloured background.

We make colors happen! Whether you have distinct taste, or a unique object that needs a custom designed look, we from colorFabb will help you get any color PLA filament you require. We have pre-matched over 200 colors, readily available for production. Furthermore, we can match and make any RAL color you desire. When we started this service, back in 2018, we had pre-matched 50 colors and sold these on 2200 g spools. Nowadays we tripled the amount of pre-matched colors and have lowered the treshhold for Color on Demand even further, as low as one 750 g spool of your preferred color and a lead time of only 5 days on matched colors! Please be aware that we use the actual RAL reference. Colors on a computer screen, printed images and promotional art can give a misrepresentation of the actual color. Injection molded color plaques can be ordered for a quality check before ordering a full spool. All filaments produced are optically checked by our specialized production and QA team. 🍍When judging the quality of a heat transfer print, three key points come into play. Firstly, the color vividness is essential. Bright and true-to-life colors make the print stand out. 🍎Secondly, the durability matters. A good heat transfer should withstand frequent washes and usage without fading or peeling. 🍐Last but not least, the clarity and sharpness of the image or pattern are crucial. A clear and detailed print looks more attractive. #Heat Transfer #Color #Durability #Clarity #Quality #Print #Image #3d

Did you know? 🤔 The term "leading" in typography actually comes from the old-school days of printing, when printers used strips of lead between lines of type to space things out! 🖋️📚 Today, adjusting that line spacing (aka leading) is key to making your printed content pop and stay easy to read. So next time you're working on a design, think about the "lead" you’re giving your text! ✨ #TypographyFun #PrintingFacts #DesignMatters #AmericanPrintAndBindery

In the spirit of Halloween we thought that we’d have a bit of fun with a list of terrifying phrases no printer wants to hear! 👀 🎃 “Can you just… change the colours?” No problem! Our in-house design team is here to help with any adjustments. But keep in mind that a quick colour change might sometimes mean a total file redesign to ensure everything looks spot-on. 🎃 “I need it tomorrow morning…” The scariest words in print! Remember that quality takes time, but we’ll always do our best to meet your deadlines! 🎃 “What do you mean by ‘bleed’?” If this one makes you scratch your head, scroll back down your feed for a handy guide on how to set up a bleed! A bleed is an essential part of designing for print that prevents any unwanted white borders on the edges of your printed piece. It refers to the extra space added around the edges of a document to account for minor shifts when trimming. 🎃 “It looked fine on my screen!” Keep in mind that screens show colours in RGB, while printers work in CMYK. So always ensure that your document is set up correctly to avoid any issues when it comes to print! Whether it’s a frightfully quick colour change or a boo-tiful layout refresh, our team is ready to help keep your designs looking spook-tacular! Drop us a line at sales@azteccolourprint.co.uk – we’d be thrilled to lend a haunted hand! 👻 #Halloween #Printing #Printers
