The most effective leaders are: - Approachable, regardless of their achievements and position. - Open to diverse perspectives, including those from individuals with differing viewpoints. - Unbiased and inclusive, avoiding favoritism towards certain individuals or groups. - Composed and effective in high-pressure situations.

Leaders either truly seek control or performance. Weak leaders crave control. Strong leaders want performance. You’ll never get high performance with a high degree of control. Give up as much control as you can and you can get great performance.

Good and great leaders should: +Have empathy & patience for others +Lean towards optimism & hopefulness +Be good listeners +Highlight the good efforts people make +Train others to be good and great leaders +Share rewards generously with others +Work cooperatively with others +Practice humility

As a leader you have to be able to lead from the front, encourage from the middle and be consistent from the back. This position will change, as you build more leaders your role willl change on how you lead.

Main task of leaders is to create leaders

As we start this week, I had a conversation with my team about the importance of building and maintaining trust. We agreed that the easiest way to do this is by always telling the truth. As leaders, we may not always be able to share every aspect of our plans, but it is imperative that we do not lie. Instead, we can inform our team that we cannot share everything at the moment, and they will understand. Remember, never break trust with a lie, as earning it back is a difficult process. Let's work together to build a culture of trust and honesty within our teams.
