Following our post last week differentiating downcycling vs recycling, we wanted to share the terrific graphic that The European Composites Industry Association; EuCIA has developed. This visual clearly illustrates a related concept: the difference between Open and #ClosedLoop recycling. We were inspired to see this image, because at Composite Recycling, we are committed to 🔄 closing the loop 🔄 in the #composites industry. Our goal is to divert composite waste away from unsustainable practices like landfilling and incineration, and instead channel it into making new composites, decarbonized plastics and resins. Check out the full article in which the EuCIA explores future of composites circularity here: https://lnkd.in/ezw7caSf Looking to create a more circular future for your company? 🌿🌍 Reach out to us to test the #recyclability potential of your composite waste. #ZeroLandfill #CleanTech #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #WasteManagement #GreenTech

Conferences... bring.... people..... together and create space to generate new ideas and exchange thoughts. That's why I believe meeting people and collaborating in real life makes the difference. If we really want to make defossilisation and sustainability realtity in the chemical industry. We must collaborate throughout the value chain! Here is my take: ☝️ chemical recycling will be key for a sustainable future ☝️ plastic is too valuable to wast ☝️teaming is essential to create the speed which is necessary for new technologies to make a change What do you think makes the transition realtiy? What is required and missing today? #defossilisation #decarbonization #FollowUsBeyond #sustainability #petroleum

In a world where sustainability and the circular economy are increasingly relevant, lead-acid batteries stand out as an example of resource efficiency and environmental responsibility. These batteries are not only essential for critical applications such as energy storage, vehicles, and backup systems, but they also serve as a model for recycling and reuse. Currently, more than 95% of lead-acid batteries at the end of their life cycle are recycled, making them one of the most recycled products worldwide. The recycling process allows for the recovery of key materials such as lead and electrolyte, which are reintegrated into new production cycles, reducing the need for virgin resources. Additionally, this significantly lowers the carbon footprint associated with manufacturing and promotes a sustainable life cycle. From our position in the industry, we are committed to continuing to innovate to improve the efficiency and sustainability of these processes, ensuring that lead-acid batteries remain a reliable and environmentally friendly solution. I invite the community to reflect on the importance of this circular model and its contribution to the transition toward a greener future. What other solutions do you see as key to strengthening the circular economy in our sector? #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #LeadAcidBatteries #Innovation #SustainableEnergy
