Excited to share our latest publication, "Teacher Induction Policy Development and Implementation: A case of Ontario's New Teacher Induction Program" with Lorraine Godden, Keith Walker, in the International Journal of Educational Policy and Leadership. Using a policy document analysis methodology, we review the induction policy mandates, program evaluations, and empirical studies to highlight the NTIP’s organization and scope, the stakeholders’ roles, duties, and responsibilities, the programmatic impacts, and the challenges associated with its implementation. https://lnkd.in/ed5m4geP

We are halfway through delivering our Effective Evaluation course via The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education We have covered content such as the language of evaluation, the reality of an evaluation cycle (and the need to be proportionate and pragmatic), Theory of Change and the ROTUR Framework. Next week, 50 participants from across UK HE spaces will start their action learning, before we finish with content on gathering evidence, learning from and disseminating impact. We have such a great cohort who are grappling with wicked evaluation problems in their institutions! Co- delivered with Stella Jones-Devitt 🤩 https://lnkd.in/e8ksw8FV

3.71/4.00 on teaching evaluations my first semester as Dr. Sean Seiler across four sections: Intro. to Sport Management, History and Philosophy of Sport (2 sections), and a Practicum. Not bad for having less than a month to on-board, create syllabi and assignments, and commute from Athens to Kennesaw and back to Athens twice a week for 15 weeks (8 hours on the road in Atlanta traffic 😩). I really do enjoy reading feedback from students ❤️ Spring 2025 Goal is 3.75/4.00 💪 Things you want to hear from students, especially in a history and philosophy class: "One of the instructor’s greatest strengths is their deep knowledge and expertise in the subject matter. Their ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging way has made the material more accessible and interesting." 🥹
