Very interesting clause from a leading P&I club. Although the vessel has an approved STS Plan, there is a clause which exempts the club from any cover from liabilities in case the STS ops is proved not to be in accordance with OCIMF STS Guide. QUOTE STS OCIMF Clause: There is no cover for liabilities, costs and expenses hereunder unless any STS operation is undertaken in accordance with the latest edition, and any amendments thereof, of the OCIMF/CDI/ICS/SIGTTO Ship to Ship Transfer Guide. UNQUOTE DYNAMARINe registered shipowners are satisfying this requirement by default, since DYNAMARINe undertakes to assess not only vessel compliance but STS operation compliance, 24x7.
