It’s not just about selling—it’s about partnering with businesses, solving their pain points, and watching them succeed. As I continue to expand my horizons, I’m learning more every day, refining my approach, and finding immense fulfillment in this evolving role. Growth isn’t easy, but it’s always worth it. Why I Started My Career: A Journey Rooted in Connection and Purpose I didn’t set out to work in customer support, sales, and healthcare—I found my way there through a passion for helping people and a deep desire to create meaningful connections. It all started during my early days working in community pharmacies. I discovered that beyond dispensing medications, there was a need to listen, educate, and offer tailored solutions to customers’ unique concerns. Those moments of understanding their needs and seeing the impact of personalized care lit a spark in me. As I gained experience, I realized this skill could transcend industries. Whether I was helping a patient manage their health, setting appointments for potential clients, or introducing people to solutions they didn’t know they needed, I thrived on building trust and making people feel heard. Eventually, I transitioned into broader customer engagement roles, including sales and client relationship management. Along the way, I embraced opportunities to refine my skills in lead generation, appointment setting, and even exploring digital tools to amplify my impact. What drives me every day is the chance to be a bridge between problems and solutions—whether in healthcare, tech, or beyond. Looking back, I see how each step in my journey has been about serving others and creating value. Moving forward, I’m excited to keep growing, connecting, and learning as I take on new challenges.

Are you a jack of all trades and master of none ? I am sure everyone of us has heard about the above phrase. I happened to speak to a person today who has a successful X years tenure and continuing in an organisation in a customer success role. I don’t have his permission to share his name and hence I will not do it. Now the current problem is that when this gentleman is looking for a job now, he is being turned down by the organisations. He has worked in all possible teams in his tenure of X years with that organisation with respect to customer success. Even some of the work he has done does not fall under customer success at all. But he continued there hoping to rise and grow with that organisation. He did grow to some extent but now he feels he needs to change the job for learning new things. So it is important to ponder what you are learning while being in a job. The repetitive tasks you perform everyday might seem boring initially, but you are developing an expertise in a particular area. Either you call it a domain or area of expertise, but having one will give you high returns in your professional career. Domain experts are always paid more than the generalists. So always ask yourself, are you developing an area of expertise while working and then pace your career accordingly. PS: This gentleman is seriously looking for a job change. I am trying to help him out. If he agrees, then I will ask for help from my wonderful network. #customersuccess #domainexpert
