Was fortunate to attend Chris Williamson's live show at the Hammersmith Apollo last night. These were my notes from the evening: "In life, we must choose our regrets." Which regrets could you live with, and which could you not? Anxiety is the price of inaction. Stop worrying so much about other people liking you, most don’t even like themselves. We only see a slither of other peoples thoughts/actions, vs. all of our own. Judge yourself on your actions, not your thoughts/feelings. Avoid second order emotions (feeling bad about feeling bad). Be selective in who you allow to judge you. "Your boo's mean nothing, I’ve seen what makes you cheer." What would you tomorrow want you today to do? Be kind to your 24h you. You make your most progress when things are hard. Don’t outsource your sense of self-worth to the crowds. If you allow yourself to become inflated on the positive opinions of others, what happens when it moves in the other direction? Find people you can celebrate with and celebrate small wins.
